LETS TALK APPOINTMENT DURATION!!!

I've recently had clients join me who often use the Chinese nail shops, walk in... no appointment.... Nails done in 30 minutes, any shape, style, design. Not judgement here ladies....... I use them myself on occasion!!

They then come to my desk, where an appointment can be anything from 1.5hours-2.5hours. Let me explain why this is:

🤎This includes removal if needed.
🤎Every appointment includes russian manicure using SAFE E-file techniques to lift and remove your cuticle, prepare the nail plate and buff the surrounding skin where possible. This perfect prep ensures you get the best retention possible whilst protecting and caring for your natural nails, not drilling them down to paper like these Chinese nail bars do. FUN FACT- THIN, DAMAGED NAILS GET WORSE RETENTION!!!
🤎 Application of builder gel, gel polish, nail art often all 3 in one appoimtment, using regulated products with no illegal ingredients.
🤎Finishing touches like cuticle oil (massaged in...not just spread on your knuckles..... Why do they do that???) and a finishing file for that crisp edge....divine!
🤎And THE MOST IMPORTANT!!..... We get to chat, connect, offload, rant but mainly laugh!!!!. Who wants to go to a nail appointment and get ignored the whole time? It's rude. Not on my watch!

Don't get me wrong, none of my clients have ever commented on appointment duration, but as a nail tech I do feel some guilt that people might be thinking 'why is this taking so long' or 'I have to be at XYZ in half an hour I didnt think it would take so long'. It's a worry I have often, and I just wanted to spend a minute giving some explanation as to why me, and any other responsible nail tech out there, takes this amount of time to give you a fresh set!!!!! It's all in your best interest gals!!!

I will never get over this transformation. This client had short, thin, brittle nails, a common symptom in people who are vegetarian. She'd never had her nails done before because she had questions to ask and felt like she would be judged and laughed at for having no knowledge of nails. She started taking Biotin vitamins to improve the condition and growth of her nails and we started with a builder gel journey. LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE!!!! THEY ARE HER OWN NAILS!!! And now she couldn't cope not having her nails done, and will say 'I feel like myself again now' when they've been infilled. She's tried different colours but always reverts back to the natural pink builder gel colour because it's just insane, and grows out so naturally. So many people come and ask for builder with a colour on, but once the builder is done they say don't put colour on I want it like that!!

Today I welcomed a client to my desk who has never had her nails done before! It was lovely to give her a little glow up ready for her wedding day tomorrow!

🌼She thinks every client that comes is there for her.
🌼Daisy will give you alllll the kisses and cuddles from the front door all the way to my desk, where she will then bark at you for a few more.
🌼Once you ignore her for 30 seconds she will take the hint and go to sleep in her bed for the whole appointment....... Unless the window cleaner comes, or someone knocks on the door, in which case she will behave like the house is being invaded by Russia.
🌼Without even trying Daisy steals the show at every appointment, whether it's the funny position she's lying in, her snoring like a grown man, or her cute little face giving you a side eye for talking when she's trying to sleep.

Daisy comes as part of the Buffed Nails package, and I'd like to thank all my clients who come to the house indulge in giving her a stroke, then ignore her when I ask them to so she will settle, this is her home too. The dog I never wanted...... But now I can't be without 🐾🐾🐾
