That’s over 140 years of Avon history! 🎉

📚 2. Avon didn’t actually start as a beauty company!
Founder David H. McConnell originally sold books door-to-door and gave perfume samples to customers.

🌸 3. The perfume samples became more popular than the books!
Customers were so interested in the fragrances that McConnell realised there was a business opportunity in beauty. 💕

👩 4. Avon’s first Representative was Mrs P.F.E. Albee.
She joined the company in 1886 and became an important part of Avon’s early sales model.

📖 5. Avon’s first brochure appeared in 1896!
So the Avon brochure has been part of the story for well over a century! 😲

🌎 6. Avon started expanding internationally as early as 1914.
Its first international expansion was into Canada.

💋 7. The Avon name first appeared on a cosmetics line in 1929.
The company was still known as the California Perfume Company at the time.

🏢 8. The company officially became Avon in 1939.
The name we know today has been around for generations!

🛁 9. Skin So Soft has been around since 1961!
It originally launched as a bath oil designed to soften the skin. 💕
