🌱 Twisting Buttercream to lock in that moisture, nourish my strands and keep my hair feeling soft throughout the day.
☘️ Flaxseed Styling Gel to create the tendril coils and provide a flexible hold without leaving my hair crunchy, flaky or weighed down.

One of the biggest myths I hear is...

“Natural hair is too much work for vacation.” 🤔

But here’s the thing... Last year I traveled all the way to Dubai, spent a day at one of the biggest water parks in the world, went down the slides, got my hair wet (eventually), laughed, made memories and guess what? My natural hair wasn’t a burden!

It was simply a part of the fun I was having. The secret wasn’t avoiding the water. It was me preparing my hair beforehand and caring for it afterwards.

Before putting on my swim cap, I made sure to:

💧 Moisturize my hair thoroughly. Hair that’s well hydrated is less likely to become dry and brittle after swimming.

🧑🏿‍🦱 Style my hair into a neat, low manipulation bun to help minimize tangles.

🏊🏾‍♀️ Wear a swim cap to create a barrier between my hair and chlorinated water. While swim caps aren’t completely waterproof, they can reduce the amount of water your hair absorbs.
