As part of the Mrs Gibraltar 2023 program on empowering women, the contestants attended a Self Defense master class at the Ju-Jitsu Academy at North Jumpers Bastion with Sensei Anthony Joaquin 7th Dan Black Belt & Sensei Joely Ann Joaquin 1st Dan Black Belt / Reigning Mrs Gibraltar 2022.

The ladies were taught various basic awareness techniques in self defence and simple hand, arm or body movements which could help them if they ever find themselves in an uncomfortable situation.
