About Change.
Change is a process of aesthetic transformation. I walk with what I've built in the past, adapt new insights, and blend them into my life.
Change is an ongoing process. I do agree with some values from the past, but I am also inspired by others and re-evaluate my old values.
Change is a way to survive myself. When insecurity and uncertainty appear, the way to survive is to explore the unknown, and alternatives are always there
And change can be a little step or a big leap; currently adjusting my makeup style and skills so they're more adaptable to diversity.
A lesson learned from last year is that language change is only the first step in understanding a culture, while there are millions of differences between individuals. To learn, adapt, and respect are the responsibilities to serve people:) However, aesthetic choices are always in my control; I might adjust and blend the style based on my preferences, practice, and each individual’s background. Hence, hopefully you will love this as much as I do :)

Here are the five traditional rituals in our hometown!
Hong Kong–Style Chinese Wedding Rituals
✨ Ceremonial Donning of the Kwa (著褂)
Hands move slowly, carefully. With each layer of the kwa, love, protection, and blessings are quietly placed on the bride.
✨ Ceremonial Reception of the Bride (迎親)
There is laughter, nerves, and joy. In this moment, love is not only spoken, but received.
✨ Joint Bowing (拜堂)
Two people bend together, honouring heaven and earth, those who came before them, and the promise they make to each other.
✨ Rice-Scattering Rite (撒米)
Rice is scattered before she steps forward, a simple wish for abundance and a life that is always sustained.
✨ Ceremonial Entrance into the Family Home (入門)
Under a red umbrella, she enters, no longer just a guest, but family

Jenn was one of the bridesmaids in my previous wedding, with my bride, Coco. She is also my 4th bride from team Coco🥹 （Thank you lol)
She genuinely invited me to be her makeup artist a few years ago and patiently waited for a few months for my response because of the uncertainty of my schedule. I was so pleased to have this gentle, sweet lady as the first bride in 2026🩷🩷
It’s always lovely to see a wedding ceremony with different cultures! Hong Kong style weddings integrate both Chinese and Western culture, and it's beautiful to see Romain, the groom, and the best men to be part of the Chinese rituals :)

Throwback to the snap for the couple 🩷

A huge new page this year, my makeup jobs lessened due to relocation and study, however, slowing down the pace allows me to reevaluate my approach and styles in makeup. It becomes more valuable when I spend time with every single client, more genuine and authentic interactions and listenings, more humanistic and warm-hearted moments… and more love and supporting voices ❤️
What I achieved in 2025:
- Two art exhibitions on the crip/disability theme- sharing stories on recovery transformation
- Relocated to 🇦🇺
- 3 LGBTQ+ weddings 🏳️🌈
- 3 Overseas weddings
- 8 home weddings 🇭🇰
- ?? Local weddings/engagement shoot/ couple shoot
New skills unlocked
- Driving (I can drive up to 150km now, but still struggle to drive City Road 🤢）
New roles
- Full-time master student pursuing dance movement / creative art therapist/ psychotherapist qualifications
- Early Intervention Therapist
- Spontaneously resuming side business as .n.tungsten
Wishlist for next year 🦉
- Find a spot to locate between the continuum of study and work
- Confident driving lol
- Creative projects
- Spread more love to the world
