Summarizing the series, there are many connections between TCM and our known and accepted anatomy and physiology.
From here we must investigate deeper and test claims. There is a possibility of increasing our clinical value and client care tenfold with finding less thought of ideas and incorporating them into main stream complementary medicine such as osteopathy, physiotherapy, massage therapy and dry needling.

10th part of the comparative review between Traditional Chinese Medicine, Anatomy Trains and Nerve Placements covers the Deep Front Line and Liver (LV) Meridian.
While there is no obvious or researched connection between the two, except for their shared route on the leg and abdomen, TCM is affiliating a range of treatment properties to this meridian including pelvic floor, throat and lower back related issues.
The line is a 3D line encasing the pelvic floor, lower back, and throat within, along with other major organs and spaces. Future studies should try and find if the proclaimed benefits of treating the LV Meridian are true as treatment occurs to the deep front line.

Is it?? IS IT?!?
At least I can say with confidence, my clients know me, and accept my notions towards this season.
As a certain Grinch once said: "Today was – grr-eat! We did mean things, AND we did them in style". Of course, by mean things I refer to treating people (you gotta try to understand), and in style.. well, I guess that's debatable 😅
Don't eat until you regret it this holiday season! (...or do, not the boss of you) Rest, heal, and we'll meet yet again!
*If it wasn't obvious, the sweater was a gift, you know who you are, so thanks!

Part 9 of the review will focus on the Gallbladder (GB) Meridian and the Lateral Line.
There are a couple points that they share, other than their extremely similar route.
A specific aspect of the line has shown to treat Tinnitus, which aligns with TCM's claims.
The line goes through abdominal muscles, and reducing the tension can be used to treat bloating, once again supporting TCM's claims for the meridian.
These open an avenue for future studies to check further relations between the two, focusing on other perceived benefits.

15th technique for running is Lunge to Single Leg Deadlift (Lunge to SL DL). Once you fully control both the Lunge and Single Leg Deadlift techniques, combining them is the natural progression to follow. Excellent exercise to build up strength and dynamic stability through the stride. The more you are able to break down the movements and control your body, the better muscle involvement and control you'd have while running.

Personally I think 50m should be enough, anything below that is great!

This week we will go over the Deep Back Arm Line and the Short Intestine (SI) Meridian.
Those two are sharing the route through the back of the arm and into the pinkie finger. However, for the moment, that is the only relation they share.
If we look at the Suprascapular nerve and the SI12 acupoint there is much relation between the two. The location is precise. SI12 is used to treat shoulder inflammation and pain in TCM. The Suprascapular nerve is controling the Supraspinatus muscle, which is the most common to get injured and cause pain and range of motion reduction in shoulders.

14th technique for running is Backwards Lunge.
Differing from the Lunge Walk, the addition of doing it backwards helps build proprioception and coordination as an added layer of the strength and dynamic stability. There will be more backwards techniques 😉

Personally I think 50m should be enough, anything below that is great!
Let me know how your running is progressing after incorporating these techniques!
