✨ FIBROBLAST SKIN TIGHTENING: WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ✨

Have you heard of plasma fibroblast treatment? It is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure designed to improve the appearance of certain fine lines and areas of mild skin laxity.

But how does it work, what is recovery like, and how does it compare with plastic surgery?

💫 WHAT IS FIBROBLAST?

The procedure uses a specialised plasma device to create tiny, controlled points of thermal injury on the skin. The healing process may stimulate collagen remodelling and improve the appearance of selected areas.

It is sometimes considered for fine lines around the eyes and mouth and mild skin laxity.

🔎 WHAT HAPPENS DURING TREATMENT?

The skin is assessed and prepared before the practitioner treats the selected area with the device. A topical anaesthetic may be used where appropriate.

Small brown crusts typically develop at the treatment sites, accompanied by some redness and swelling.

⏳ WHAT ABOUT RECOVERY?

Recovery varies from person to person and depends on the area treated and the intensity of the procedure.

• Swelling and redness can occur during the first few days.
• Small crusts may take around 1–2 weeks to shed.
• Redness and sensitivity can persist after the crusts have gone.
• Any improvement develops gradually over the following weeks.

Following aftercare instructions and protecting healing skin from the sun are essential.

💖 WHAT ARE THE POTENTIAL BENEFITS?

✔️ Possible improvement in the appearance of fine lines.

✔️ Potential modest tightening in selected areas of mild skin laxity.

✔️ No conventional surgical incision.

However, results vary, and more than one treatment may be needed. Evidence supporting the effectiveness and long-term outcomes of plasma fibroblast remains limited.

⚖️ FIBROBLAST VS PLASTIC SURGERY

Fibroblast is a non-surgical option, but it is not a replacement for every surgical procedure.

Eyelid surgery can remove excess eyelid skin, while a facelift can address more significant facial sagging by repositioning underlying tissues. These procedures generally provide more substantial and predictable correction for the concerns they are designed to treat, but involve surgical risks and recovery.

Fibroblast also carries risks, including burns, infection, scarring and changes in skin pigmentation.

🌿 THE MOST IMPORTANT THING?

Every face and skin type is different. A suitable treatment should always begin with an appropriate assessment, realistic expectations and a clear understanding of the potential risks and benefits.

At The Celtic Cure, we believe informed decisions and patient safety should always come first.

LIP FILLER, YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED!

Lip fillers have now become hugely popular cosmetic procedure for those looking to enhance their appearance and boost self-esteem. However, it's crucial to approach this beauty enhancing procedure with the right information and precautions, after all, it is the first part of the face people tend look at and is an indicator of virility.
CLEANLINESS SHOULD NEVER BE AN AFTERTHOUGHT.
Lip filler involves breaking the skin. That means infection prevention matters. The treatment environment should be clean, professional and to a clinical standard.
You should feel comfortable asking questions about hygiene and the practitioner should follow appropriate hand-hygiene and infection-control procedures. Treatment surfaces should be clean, equipment should be appropriately sterile or packaged, and sharps should be disposed of safely.
This is not an area where corners should be cut.
A professional Aesthetics appointment, should not feel like someone has simply decided to start injecting filler in a bedroom, kitchen or casual setting.
The environment matters because the procedure itself matters.
If someone is prepared to inject a product into your face, you should expect them to take hygiene, safety and professional standards seriously, and Don't feel awkward or out of place asking for proof of insurance or training certification. Any qualified Aesthetics practitioner will gladly provide any information you ask for, to put your mind at ease.
The procedure itself is designed to be as comfortable as possible and an experienced provider may decide to apply a topical aesthetic to numb the lips, to minimizing any discomfort during the injection process.
Lip filler is not permanent and typically last between 6 to 18 months, depending on factors such as age, metabolism, lifestyle and quality of product. As they wear away over time, repeat treatments are necessary to maintain the desired results, but It's important to note that more filler does not necessarily mean better lips, and knowing when not to inject more, is crucial for achieving a natural look.
While lip fillers are generally safe when performed by a qualified professional, there are risks involved. One of the most concerning risks, would be the unintentional injection into a blood vessel, which can lead to blocked blood vessels and poor blood supply to surrounding tissues which could cause necrosis, but in the unlikely event of that happening to you, a confident, experienced practitioner will know exactly what to do.
Now to some side effects if any?
Side effects, such as swelling and bruising, occur shortly after the injection and typically resolve within a few days to a week, if the pain increases then the practitioner should be contacted immediately, an assessment carried out and if needed a filler dissolve performed.
Once the filler has time to settle, take shape, with the swelling reducing, your now new, beautifully formed lips should be reviewed within a two week period. This is just a precautionary visit and if needed a little touch up or a final massage to ensure the best results possible.
Before booking an appointment, it's essential to ask questions and understand what is being injected. Quality and cleanliness should never be compromised, and knowing the practitioners credentials can help ensure a successful outcome.
In summary, while lip fillers can help achieve a desired look and improve self-esteem, they require careful consideration and professional ex*****on. Always prioritize safety and quality when considering this cosmetic enhancement.
