Have you ever allowed your own mind, your limiting beliefs, or your inner critic to stop you from going after something you really want?

I had a coaching session yesterday with a woman who really wanted to step into a new course to further herself, expand her skills and learn something new.

But there were all these thoughts getting in the way.

“I’m not good enough.”
“I don’t have the confidence.”
“Can I actually do this?”

And that’s where our work began.

We became curious about those thoughts rather than allowing them to make the decision for her.

We explored where those limiting beliefs were coming from, what her mind was telling her, and what might be possible if she stopped letting those thoughts define what she could or couldn’t do.

And honestly, it was such a powerful session.

She had the space to talk openly and honestly, without judgement. She got so much off her chest — and by the end, she felt lighter, re-energised and more confident.

She could see that it was okay to want more.

It was okay to expand herself.

And it was okay to take a step towards something she genuinely wanted.

Sometimes you don’t need someone to tell you what to do. You just need the space to hear yourself clearly.

28/09/2026

Sometimes the problem isn’t that you’re not motivated.

It’s that the way you’re talking to yourself is making everything feel harder.

In a recent coaching session, we started with something that looked like procrastination.

She had huge expectations for herself, wasn’t getting everything done, and was feeling frustrated and exhausted.

So we broke it down.

Smaller goals.
Smaller steps.
Something actually achievable.

But as we peeled back the layers, something deeper showed up.

The self-talk.

“I can’t do this.”
“I’ll never finish it.”
“I’m useless.”
“I’ll never get this done.”

When you repeat thoughts like these often enough, they can start to feel like facts.

And that’s where limiting beliefs can quietly shape your behaviour.

You put things off.
You avoid starting.
You set yourself impossible standards.
Then you beat yourself up for not achieving them.

It becomes a cycle.

Coaching isn’t about simply telling yourself to “think positive”.

It’s about noticing the patterns, challenging what you’ve been telling yourself, and learning to respond to yourself differently.

Because sometimes the shift you need isn’t a bigger goal.

It’s a different conversation with yourself.

What are you repeatedly telling yourself that you might need to question?

You’ve taken care of everyone else. But when was the last time you really checked in with yourself?

You can be capable, busy, independent and still feel like you’ve lost touch with yourself somewhere along the way.

Maybe you’re constantly thinking about everyone else’s needs.

Maybe you’re saying yes when you really mean no.

Maybe you’re craving some clarity around what you actually want next.

Or maybe you don’t need to “fix” anything at all.

You simply need somewhere to pause.

On Wednesday 7th October, I’ll be in Killarney offering three private 1:1 sessions.

✨ 1:1 Coaching
A confidential space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface, gain clarity and begin making changes that feel right for you.

✨ Reiki
A deeply restful space to slow down, receive and reconnect with yourself.

As a qualified Mental Health Nurse and Life Coach, my approach is grounded, compassionate and practical — with space for the whole person.

Appointments:
10am | 12pm | 2pm

If one of those times feels like it might be for you, DM me and I’ll send you the details.

A little feedback from a recent session with secondary school teachers & SNAs 🩷

I was asked to deliver a session around self-care, stress and looking after ourselves, something that feels more important than ever for those working in education.

I absolutely loved being in the room with this group and having the opportunity to create some space for them to pause, reflect and think about their own wellbeing.

And then I received this message afterwards...
“Everything you said really resonated with me.
It’s just so important to look after ourselves.”

These are the moments that remind me why I love this work.

Creating space for people to pause, breathe, reflect and reconnect with themselves - whether that’s through coaching, wellbeing workshops or group sessions.

Thank you for the lovely feedback. 🥹🩷

Your brain is listening to what you repeatedly tell it.

And the good news?
You can give it something new to practise.

✨ Change your self-talk
Notice the way you speak to yourself and begin to choose words that support rather than sabotage you.

✨ Write your goals down
Get them out of your head and onto paper. Revisit them regularly.

✨ Choose your attitude
You can’t always choose what happens, but you can practise choosing how you respond.

✨ Reframe situations
Instead of “I can’t do this” → “This is challenging, but I can take the next step.”

✨ Make space for stillness
Meditation, breathing, or simply sitting quietly can help you notice your thoughts rather than automatically reacting to them.

✨ Take small, repeated action
You don’t need to overhaul your life overnight. Small actions, repeated consistently, can create meaningful change.

Small thoughts.
Small choices.
Small actions.
Repeated often.

That’s where change begins. 🤍

What is one thing you’re going to practise differently this week?
