This set required a little more work. The index and middle nails were naturally growing downward and had also been damaged after previous breaks.

I first rebuilt the missing structure using polygel, then applied a dual form to create the correct shape and direction.

I intentionally kept the nails short — taking into consideration the condition of the natural nails and the client’s lifestyle. 💅🏼
My client also has frequent contact with water and chemicals at work, despite wearing gloves, and has experienced a few accidental breaks.

For this reason, I recommended a 3-week maintenance schedule rather than waiting 4 weeks.

Nail growth, lifestyle, exposure to water and chemicals, mechanical stress and the condition of the natural nail all affect how long a set should be worn.
