I find this highly amusing & a man after my own heart in dealing with awkward customers! Fair play to him!
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1XBHroYeYC/
Places an order, despite seeing all of my lead time information, then contacts me aggressively and very rudely every 2 days since, asking where his lead is, over a period of three weeks.
Despite spelling it out to him every single time, it continues.
Hopefully this will help to get the message across!
I will not tolerate rudeness from anyone in my life, and I will always respond accordingly.
Manners cost nothing, but sometimes you need to speak in a way that they understand.
Have a great day all.

UK & Ireland.

I'm going over to the UK on Friday.
Does anyone want any soap, Room diffusers, small 100ml hand wash. I can take a few 100 ml bottles with me in my small bag. Knock airport have changed the security rules again & you can take up to 2 litres in several100ml bottles. Why the several 100ml bottles rule I don't know but that's how it is 🤦🏼♀️🙄 and it's a pain the 🍑 & not all the airports are aligned with the same rules all of the time.
Andy has got some stock at his but I've got a few different kinds not held over there I've made here.
Let me know because I've got to get the labels sorted aswell. Sorry, can't do any custom soap orders for the UK as too late, only what's in stock.
Thanks.

Well, I had a very interesting afternoon today.
A fella knocked my door. He introduced himself.
It was the Senior Veterinary Officer for DAFM from the Drumshambo office in Leitrim.
'Arh hello'. I was puzzled for his visit.
'Sorry to bother you but we've received a complaint about your animals. Some has reported you for not feeding your sheeps & the goat & that you are neglecting them'.
I start to laugh.
I point to the almost obese round fluffy feckers in the field & he glances over at them, who are staring at the strange man who has visited & he replies,
'Ah yes'.....and he smiles aswell.
I take him over to see them. Freya decides to beat up one of the sheep to which he replies, 'That goat doesn't take any nonsense does she!'
I tell him how old they are....9 which is very old for sheep. He raises his eyebrows at the age of seeing two 9 year old sheep on a holding in Ireland.
Sean is a little bit on the thinner side than the rest but he's a old boy. Completely broken mouthed. Eating & drinking. Enjoying life considering his age. He'd of been slaughtered a long, long time ago if I hadn't of had him.
Boris is Completely grey now around his nose & around this time of year, his fleece starts to become patchy & scruffy.
Then there's Larry. He's 4. Rare breed Galway wether. He's really fat. I think he's too fat really.
Now we come to Freya. Her true age is unknown but I've had her since 2018.
I showed him all the worming & Fluke medication I buy & the records I keep with that. I tell him they get sheared every june/July.
He can also see & takes note that I have two rows of sheep fencing. One being sheep wire (electrified) & the other temporary electrical fencing to keep them in & safe.
He sees I feed them keirnan sheep pellets, three - four scoops per day (I ask him should I increase it- absolutely not, that is more than plenty) & they have hay afterwards. He only advised some extra hay in the evenings during the winter when the grass is short which I'll do.
They have tons of water in several containers.
He also sees that they have a enclosed barn with rubber cow mats to sleep on & they get mucked out once a week. It was muddy when he visited.
I asked him point blank if everything was in order & if he thought there was any concerns to which he replied,
No.
Finally. He checked all my paperwork & holding number to which a couple of things need updating which I will hear from the office in due course.
On his way out he said thankyou for your time. I'll inform the office & you won't hear off me again.
So, whoever did this, you seriously failed. The inspector not only wasted my time but also his time, which I'm sure is precious in this day & age.
You also wasted the inspectors time because he could of been visiting another genuine welfare case & helping a animal that genuinely could need his help.
Malicious reporting should be a crime.
I hope you are pleased with yourself.
Photo of a very underfed & starving Larry 😂 🙈 with the arse end of fat Boris in the background.

I make a midge repellent in the summer....

Scottish Company Stuck With 10,000 Bottles of “Minge Repellent” After Catastrophic Typo
A small Scottish outdoor products company has found itself in a rather awkward situation this week after a printing error left them with 10,000 bottles of insect spray labelled “Minge Repellent” instead of “Midge Repellent.”
The product, intended to protect walkers, campers, and anyone foolish enough to stand still in the Highlands for more than three seconds from midge attacks, was due to launch this spring as “the most powerful midge repellent in Scotland.”
Unfortunately, somewhere between the design team and the printing press, was one unfortunate letter mistakenly inserted.
The result? Shelves full of bottles claiming to repel something entirely different.
Company founder Dougie MacRae addressed the situation at a press conference yesterday,
“Look, we want to make this absolutely clear. These bottles do not repel minges. They repel midges, which are sometimes far worse in most parts of Scotland. Believe me using the spray will not have any impact on your ability to get your leg over."
MacRae explained that correcting the mistake would cost thousands in reprinting and relabelling, which for a new company could be catastrophic, so the company is now appealing directly to the Scottish public.
“Please understand,” he continued, holding up a bottle while visibly trying not to laugh, “this is still one of the best midge repellents on the market today. The spelling mistake does not affect the formula in any way.”
Early reactions online suggest the error may actually boost sales. Several outdoor shops have already reported customers pre ordering multiple bottles “for the laugh,” while one Highland camping store reportedly sold out of future orders within an hour after posting the label on social media.
Tourism officials have also weighed in, noting the product might inadvertently become “the most Scottish souvenir of 2026.”
MacRae remains cautiously optimistic,
“Aye, it’s embarrassing… but if it keeps the midges away and gives folk a laugh, we might just leave the labels as they are.”
Meanwhile, the company has confirmed that next year’s batch will undergo “very careful spell checking.”
Until then, hikers across Scotland are advised to pack plenty of the spray, because whether the label is right or wrong, the midges definitely still bite.
