Proper breathing during a squat is key for stability and force output. Before descending, take a deep diaphragmatic breath to create intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) and brace your core. Hold this pressure as you go down and at the bottom to keep your spine stable (Valsalva maneuver).

As you drive up, maintain the brace through the sticking point, then exhale once you pass it. This improves strength, efficiency, and reduces injury risk.

Natural physiques, different eras — same impact. 💪
Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1963 vs Joseph Baena in 2019.
Genetics may open the door, but discipline, training, and consistency build the physique. Father and son, both carrying that classic aesthetic look in their own way.

Golden Era personified. 🔱

There’s something about the raw, aesthetic grit of the 1960s Muscle Beach scene that modern gyms just can’t replicate. Dave Draper wasn't just "The Blond Bomber"; he was a reminder that bodybuilding is as much about the art of the physique as it is about the heavy iron. Looking at this frame, you can almost smell the salt air and hear the plates clanking at the original Gold’s.

Rest easy to a true icon of the sport who kept it classic until the very end.

on the pic to .

(3 times Mr Olympia) was one great bodybuilding champ who always mesmerized me with his Greek God like Physique. Never too big.. always concentrated on proportion.. aesthetics and classic lines.
The Vacuum pose by Zane is his signature pose. Many bodybuilders in that golden era of bodybuilding were experts in executing this vacuum pose..but in my personal openion when Zane does this pose.. some kind of magic happens in front of our own eyes.. His whole physique suddenly changes into a priceless statue carved by the very best sculptor.

Remember, muscle is not mostly protein, it's mostly water. Look at the word carbohydrate. The suffix hydrate means water. As you probably all know, the carbohydrate stores in the muscle becomes a chain of sugar molecules called glycogen. And every gram of glycogen stored in the muscle chemically bonds with and holds three grams of water. When you go lower than 60% carbohydrates on a high-int ensity program, you're going to burn the glycogen out of the muscle, not restore it, and the water that was chemically bonded will leave the muscle and the muscle becomes flat, placid, and dehydrated. :- MIKE MENTZER

Arthur Jones didn’t believe in doing more — he believed in doing it right. While the world chased long workouts and endless sets, he proved that real progress comes from intensity, focus, and honesty. One hard, precise set beats multiple careless ones. This image isn’t just about lifting weights; it’s about understanding effort, discipline, and why better always wins over more.

High-Intensity. Low-Volume. Real Results.

From now onwards, we will be training strictly based on the principles of Mike Mentzer Heavy Duty Training.

This is not a trend, not a shortcut, and not random workouts.

Heavy Duty training means:

- High-intensity, low-volume strength training
- Focus on muscle growth, strength, and body transformation
- Proper recovery, discipline, and progression
- Quality over quantity — fewer workouts, higher effort

Who can join
✔ Anyone serious about body transformation
✔ Anyone focused on fat loss with muscle retention
✔ Anyone willing to follow diet, recovery, and consistency
✔ Busy professionals who want short but effective workouts

Who should NOT join
❌ People looking for only cardio-based weight loss
❌ People expecting fat loss without diet control
❌ People afraid of hard effort
❌ People jumping programs every few weeks

Important truth (no confusion)

Heavy Duty training:

- Builds and preserves muscle
- Improves body shape and strength
- Supports fat loss when combined with diet and movement

Heavy Duty alone is not magic.
Results come only if:

- Diet is controlled
- Recovery is respected
- Training is done with intent, not ego

Dorian Yates shares his physique at 63 and a few tips on how he stays in shape:

"What I’m doing now to stay in shape.

Probably the number one question I get asked is, ”Don’t you miss being that big??”

My answer is always the same… no.
Competitive bodybuilding and everything that came with being an elite athlete was a phase of my life, it was temporary.

I’m still training 2x per week with weights, but also other forms of exercise like pilates, yoga, biking etc.
And I eat two meals a day, usually lunch and dinner. It’s mainly protein and fats, and a little carbs.

I feel great and it’s working for me."
