Snato turns 8 !!!! EIGHT !!!! 🥹❤️

8 years ago, an impulsive, hardcore IT engineer convinced herself to start a brand from scratch — with zero experience and no business background in the family.

She took the plunge, bootstrapped Snato with her corporate job salary, and thought,𝘭𝘦𝘵’𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺.

And today, as her baby turns 8, she is one 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.

Snato has grown, travelled places, and helped me grow along the way.

I always imagined that if I ever started something of my own, it would never follow the hustle pattern. It would have its own pace, its own rhythm. Snato followed exactly that. And on this journey, I met some of the best people — people who started loving her, sometimes even more than I do.

When I started, I was told that business is a cut-throat place to be. That here, no one is really yours.

Well… I got my business besties while running Snato.
I got strangers promoting my brand — and how!
I met people who would manage my stall at pop-ups so I could take a breather.
I have patrons who tell me my soap stack needs to be refilled and trust me with their preferences.

If this is cut-throat, 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 it on.

Snato is growing at her own pace, in her own time, and in her mother’s little lala land. ❤️

After almost 2 years, I was finally back to pop-ups this August.

The butterflies in my stomach, the trials, the mad rush prior to the event, the hustle, the “oh, will everything be okay?” thoughts, the “I will kill it!” — all of it was back.

I said yes to ULLAS only because of Manjari Mukherjee di, and I’m so glad I did. The old charm & warmth of pop-ups, the familiar laughs and catch-ups while business was in full swing, made me realise what I was missing.

& Bangalore, you are love. I shifted here for good, and you have embraced me with open arms ever since with the same warmth of thatte idly, donne biryani and filter coffee.

Friends turned up, they managed my stall like pros, while I was chilling over lime sodas & chitchats. Sexy people, now that you are in my life, you are stuck with me for a lifetime.

& the support system, besides being my permanent headache — my sister & husband. I have exploited them happily, as always.

at the Start of the year, while planning my entire range, I had a very different thought - of sticking to soft minimal packaging, of a long range of skincare products, of soaps which will have most vivid detailing & all.

I started the formulation, the testing & I realized, am loving colours over my usual minimal white/green packaging, I am being drawn towards making intricate/delicate details on soaps over vivid designs & trusting my senses with the aroma blends rather than going by the book.

The collection was launched at the last popup I did, and so many of you who visited resonated with my thoughts & the products receive so much love. The range this time is maximally CUTE 🫰
