After a spinal cord injury, it’s natural to search for the best doctor, the right treatment and every possible option that could help.

But one thing that shouldn’t become part of the journey is giving up before exploring your options.

Sitting at home, waiting for someone else to arrange everything, or believing that recovery can only happen when the “perfect” help arrives can cost valuable time.

If rehabilitation is medically appropriate for you, focus on what you can do today, get assessed, understand your condition, explore suitable treatment options and stay consistent with rehabilitation.

You don’t have to do everything alone.
Ask for help. Seek the right guidance. But don’t stop taking an active role in your recovery. ❤️

And remember: absence of sensation can be associated with more severe neurological injury, but it does not allow anyone to predict an individual’s recovery with certainty.

Educational content only. Please consult a qualified spinal cord injury and rehabilitation specialist for an individual assessment and treatment plan.

Surekha Ji’s paralysis journey has been a long one.

From Bhopal to Nagpur and different hospitals and treatment options, her husband, Mangeshwar Ji, continued looking for the right support while managing his CRPF duties and taking care of their family.

After discovering Namoh Wellness and learning more about its rehabilitation approach, they decided to come to Indore.

In this testimonial, they share their experience of the assessment, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation process - and the changes they have personally noticed in her body, hand function, overall confidence, and mental well-being.

For Mangeshwar Ji, seeing his wife feel better and more at ease has been a deeply emotional part of this journey.

Every patient's journey is different. Recovery takes time, consistency, and an individualized rehabilitation plan.

Sometimes, the biggest change begins with simply believing that improvement is still possible.

This is a patient's personal experience. Individual outcomes vary, and this testimonial should not be considered a guarantee of similar results. Medical treatment and rehabilitation should always be planned with qualified healthcare professionals.

Sometimes, what we see while lying down may not tell the whole story. 🧠

MRI is an important tool for understanding a spinal cord injury - from identifying the location of an injury to assessing the spine after surgery and monitoring structural changes.

But recovery is also about function.

What happens when you sit up?
When you stand?
When you turn?
When you put weight on your legs?

In some cases, neurological signals and movement can behave differently when the body's position changes. That’s why a functional or dynamic assessment, when clinically appropriate, may provide additional information that can help guide rehabilitation.

The goal is simple: understand the individual better and design rehabilitation around their actual functional needs.

At Namoh Wellness, we continue to explore technology and assessment methods that can complement conventional evaluation and rehabilitation.

After a spinal cord injury, this communication can be disrupted, affecting sensation, strength, movement, and walking ability.

That’s why rehabilitation can focus on working with the brain–body connection through repeated, goal-directed movement and sensory training.

The idea is simple: understand what connections and functions are still present, then work on them through the right rehabilitation approach.

Every signal matters. Every movement is an opportunity to practice.

Educational content only. Spinal cord injuries vary significantly, and individual recovery depends on factors including the level and severity of injury and neurological function. Please consult a qualified rehabilitation professional for an individual assessment.

After a spinal cord injury, can you still feel touch below the level of injury? 🧠

Two sensations can be especially important during a neurological assessment:
👉 Deep touch/pressure sensation
👉 Light touch sensation
👉 Hot sensation
👉 Cold sensation

If you can perceive these sensations below the level of injury, they can provide valuable information about your remaining sensory function.

But remember - sensation alone cannot predict exactly how much recovery will happen. A proper neurological assessment looks at multiple sensory and motor functions to understand the injury and plan rehabilitation.

So if you notice even small changes in sensation, don’t ignore them. Discuss them with your rehabilitation team.

Every sensation tells a story. Every assessment helps us understand it better.

After a spinal cord injury, every hour can matter. 🧠

If you’ve reached the hospital quickly and received the necessary evaluation and treatment, that’s an important step in the recovery journey.

But recovery doesn’t end with surgery.

Early medical management followed by timely, consistent, and goal-based rehabilitation can play an important role in helping a person work on strength, movement, sensation, balance, and independence.

The extent of recovery depends on several factors, including the level and severity of the injury, neurological status, treatment and rehabilitation.

The goal is not just to recover movement - it’s to help you work towards getting back to your daily life, independence, and work wherever possible. ❤️

Understand stroke recovery. And don’t give up on it. 🧠

After a stroke, a few things are especially important:
💊 Don’t stop your prescribed medicines on your own. They may be prescribed to reduce the risk of another stroke.
🏃‍♂️ Start rehabilitation and therapy on time. Regular therapy can help manage weakness, stiffness and movement difficulties and support better movement patterns.
⏳ Make the most of the early months. The first few months can be an important period for rehabilitation, but recovery does not automatically stop after 6 months.

And most importantly: practice.

If there’s a movement you want to regain, practising it correctly and repeatedly can support motor learning and recovery.

Even if treatments such as Botox are recommended for selected patients, they should be used as part of an overall rehabilitation plan, not as a replacement for therapy.

Recovery takes consistency, patience, and the right guidance.

Educational content only. Never stop or change medicines or treatment without consulting your doctor or rehabilitation professional.

“मुझे लगा था सब कुछ खत्म हो गया…”

A sudden paralysis attack.
A diagnosis of a brain blood clot.
And within a few hours, life completely changed.

In his own words, this patient shares how he went from feeling hopeless about his future to gradually regaining his confidence, strength, and independence through rehabilitation.

What made a difference for him was not just therapy, but also timely medical care, consistent rehabilitation, motivation, and the belief that improvement was still possible.

Today, he feels confident about returning to work and moving forward with his life.

Every stroke recovery journey is different, and outcomes can vary from person to person. But with appropriate medical care and rehabilitation, recovery can remain a journey, not a full stop.

Listen to his story. ❤️
