Chemosis After Canthoplasty 👁️

Seeing swelling or a jelly-like appearance in the white part of the eye after canthoplasty can be concerning — but chemosis is a temporary symptom that may occur during the healing process.

It happens when the conjunctiva, the thin membrane covering the white part of the eye, becomes swollen after surgery.

After the stitches are removed around Day 7, the symptoms will gradually subside as healing continues.

✨ Temporary swelling doesn’t mean something went wrong. Healing takes time.
