We Pre-numb by applying a topical lidocaine cream for 20-30 minutes before we begin the process of depositing pigment into the skin. This step desensitizes the top layer of skin (epidermis) so that we’re able start working very superficially. Most clients (if not everyone) are super comfortable that they can hardly tell that the process has started unless they’re told so. Soon after and as needed we apply a secondary numbing gel that works like magic💫 in seconds and numbs even deeper (dermis layer). This step also calms visible irritation or redness, restricts bleeding and stops swelling (no bloody or gory mess). Majority of our customers experience little to no pain. If you have a low pain tolerance then you may feel slight stinging at times or low discomfort levels.
