QUICK UPDATE: Senator Moye Fulfills Pledge with L$650,000, Motorcycle and Chairs for Phebe Airstrip Community

Suakoko District, B**g County – B**g County Senator Prince Kermue Moye Sr. has fulfilled another commitment made during his county-wide citizens' engagement tour by donating L$650,000, one motorcycle, and 100 plastic chairs to residents of the Phebe Airstrip Community.

The donation fulfills a promise Senator Moye made during his visit to the community on June 28, when he pledged support for women's economic empowerment and assistance to his local support team.

During the presentation ceremony, Senator Moye's County Coordinator, Daniel Giddings Kerkulah, handed over the items on behalf of the senator. The package included L$500,000 for the community's women's group to strengthen small businesses, L$150,000 and one motorcycle for Team Moye, as well as 100 plastic chairs for community use.

Speaking at the event, Giddings said the donation demonstrates Senator Moye's commitment to honoring his promises, noting that the lawmaker believes in delivering on commitments made to citizens.

He also disclosed that Senator Moye is expected to return to the community soon to break ground for the construction of a youth center, another project previously promised to residents.

Receiving the donation, representatives of the community expressed appreciation to the senator for fulfilling his pledge.

Speaking on behalf of the women, Team Moye Chair lady Lusu Gbelai said the L$500,000 would be managed collectively by the women's organization, with members deciding how best to invest the funds to expand their businesses and improve their livelihoods.

Also speaking, Edwin Gbor, one of Team Moye representatives thanked Senator Moye for keeping his word and pledged that the resources would be used for their intended purposes.

Team Moye Youth Chairman Rahiem Carr also praised the senator for what he described as his continued support to the Phebe Airstrip Community, citing previous educational assistance that included thirteen scholarship slots, to Cuttington University and five to B**g County University and three to the Lutheran University for students from the community.

The Phebe Airstrip residents described the donation as another demonstration of Senator Moye's commitment to community development and thanked him for continuing to support the people of Phebe Airstrip Community.
