THE REALITY OF LIFE

Life is filled with unexpected moments, and many of them can be painful and disappointing. When those moments come, we may not understand why they happen, but sometimes the greatest strength is accepting reality and finding the courage to move forward.

As we journey through life, we learn that:

• Death is never far from life.

• Wisdom is never far from ignorance.

• Wealth is never far from poverty.

• Good health is never far from sickness.

• Light is never far from darkness.

• Sight is never far from blindness.

• Marriage is never far from being single.

• Success is never far from failure.

• Joy is never far from sorrow.

• Hope is never far from despair.

• Love is never far from heartbreak.

• Victory is never far from defeat.

• Peace is never far from conflict.

• Strength is never far from weakness.

• Trust is never far from betrayal.

• Laughter is never far from tears.

• Every beginning is never far from an ending.

Life is a journey of changing seasons. No pain lasts forever, and no season remains the same. Stay humble in success, patient in hardship, and grateful in every circumstance. Keep your faith alive, because after every storm, there is always a new dawn.

"Life may test you, but it should never define you. Keep moving forward."

You Laugh at Them, Remember Their Pain

To those mocking Malawians who have returned from South Africa after escaping xenophobic violence: this is not the time for jokes or ridicule.

These are fellow citizens who have endured fear, uncertainty, and hardship. Some lost their jobs, belongings, and livelihoods while seeking safety. Arriving home with little or nothing is not a reason for shame—it is a reminder of how fragile life can be.

Instead of laughing at them, let us welcome them with compassion, respect, and solidarity.
A nation is judged not by how it treats the successful, but by how it treats those facing difficult times.

Today they need support, not insults. Let us be united as Malawians and show humanity to those who need it most.
