Today
It's TODAY!!
The 2026 National Youth Summit and International Youth Day Commemoration begins today at the Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe.
For the next three days, young people will not just listen from speakers. They will question, share, challenge, connect, learn and contribute to conversations about the future they are already living.
This also presents an opportunity for them to refine and improve their ideas, create partnerships that last, explore available opportunities and create commitments that will become action.
Can’t make it to BICC? Follow the Summit through our live broadcasts on television and Facebook and join the conversation from wherever you are.

Please Help 💔🥺
Mwana Kudowa Akuvutika, Akufunika Akufuna Kwabwino.
"Hello Morton,
I’m reaching out to share a story that was published on the Dowa Youth Action Movement page about a young woman from a village in Dowa who is facing serious challenges at home.
Her father does not provide food or other basic support to his children, and he has not given her a piece of land to farm. He also removed the door from the small thatched house where she sleeps, leaving her living in very difficult conditions with her child.
The situation became so difficult that she once reached a point of wanting to take her own life, but she was encouraged not to give up because she has a child who depends on her.
She is now looking for any honest work, such as house work, farm work, cleaning, or any other opportunity, either around Dowa or elsewhere, so she can support herself and her child.
I thought you might be able to help or connect her with someone who can assist.
For more information, please contact me on 0899473495.
Thank you."

Dowa Secondary School – A Proud Home of Excellence
When we talk about schools that have contributed to the growth of education in Malawi, Dowa Secondary School remains a name that carries a special place in the hearts of many.
As a National Secondary School located in Mponela, Dowa Secondary has welcomed students from different parts of the country, bringing together young people with different backgrounds, dreams, and ambitions. For many students, the school became more than just a place of learning—it became a second home where friendships were built, talents were discovered, and futures were shaped.
Over the years, Dowa Secondary alumni have gone on to serve in different fields including education, health, business, government, technology, and many other sectors. Their achievements are a reflection of the strong foundation built by dedicated teachers, hardworking students, supportive parents, and the entire school community.
Behind every successful student are teachers and leaders who played a role in guiding them. The memories of classrooms, assemblies, sports, friendships, and those unforgettable moments continue to connect former students wherever they are.
To all Dowa Secondary School alumni:
Which year did you complete your studies?
Who was the teacher or school leader who inspired you the most?
What is one memory from Dowa Secondary that you will never forget?
Let’s celebrate the history, people, and legacy of a school that continues to shape Malawians.
