An Island of Light ✨

We’re in Venice for HOMO FABER 2026, presenting two totems from Cosmic Relics and a table from Cosmic Traces, three pieces exploring an idea at the core of our practice: stone not simply as material, but as a record of time, and a starting point for creative exploration.

Each composition is shaped in dialogue with the stone’s natural variations, veins, translucencies and colors that make every piece inherently unique. Through unexpected combinations of materials, the pieces come together as something alive, playful and warm, allowing the character of each stone to remain present while becoming part of a larger composition.

This year’s edition is conceived by artist and designer Es Devlin, who uses light, water, mirrors and movement to reveal not only the objects on display, but the human knowledge and craft behind them, a lens that feels especially fitting for pieces shaped by the light within the stone itself.

The energy of The Wedding keeps resonating beyond Milan, finding new life through the pages of BASIC Magazine and Glocal. 🤍

From the ceremony and its symbolic elements to the couple at the heart of it all, each feature offers a new perspective on the universe we created for The Wedding.

Months after the ceremony, it feels beautiful to see its story still unfolding, traveling into new pages and reaching new places.

Thank you BASIC Magazine and Glocal for keeping the celebration alive, and a special thank you to 🐾Viktorija Pashuta 🐾 and for giving our work a place in your pages.

Some unions are written in stone.

This September, we’re joining HOMO FABER: An Island of Light in Venice, presenting pieces from Cosmic Relics and Cosmic Traces throughout the month at Fondazione Giorgio Cini.

Inspired by the mysteries of the universe and the cultural legacy of totemism, the pieces bring different natural stones into balance, exploring ideas of connection, collective identity and the diversity found both within our planet and beyond it.

We invite you to discover the pieces in Venice as part of Homo Faber’s celebration of contemporary craftsmanship from around the world.

Looking back, Echoes of Mexico still feels deeply relevant.

Not because it brought different perspectives together, but because it allowed each one to remain true to itself.

Coco Brun’s sculptural vision.

The knowledge of Mexican stone.

The hands of artisans.

The voice of the material itself.

Meaningful collaborations are not about blending identities until they disappear.

They are about creating space for each perspective to coexist, shaping something that none could have imagined alone.

Perhaps that is what Echoes of Mexico has always been:

not a meeting of cultures,

but a conversation between them.

Stone carries memory.

It records time in layers, color and texture, preserving millions of years of geological history.

For Echoes of Mexico, Mexican stone became more than a material. It became a language through which ideas, perspectives and craftsmanship could meet.

Each piece began with Coco Brun’s artistic vision and evolved through an ongoing dialogue with the materials themselves, their translucency, their veining, their natural character.

From onyxes to marbles, from calcites to travertines, each stone brought its own voice to the collection. Together, they did more than give form to the pieces.

They helped shape them.

Perhaps that is what makes stone so extraordinary:

it never simply supports a design.

It becomes part of the conversation.

Some collaborations begin with a sketch.

Others begin with a conversation.

Echoes of Mexico began through Galería Territorio, bringing together Coco Brun and Sten Studio around a shared curiosity: to explore Mexico through its geological landscape and the richness of its stones.

Coco brought a clear artistic vision.

We brought years of experience working with Mexican materials and the people who shape them.

Between designer, studio, artisan and stone, a dialogue emerged.

Curiosity became the bridge.

Conversation became the process.

Stone became the common language.

Why spheres?

The sphere is one of nature’s most recurring forms.

From planets and stars to seeds, bubbles, and mineral formations, it appears across vastly different scales, connecting the microscopic with the cosmic.

Its geometry doesn’t impose a direction.

Instead, it invites the eye to move freely, allowing color, texture, and the unique character of each stone to become the focus.

In Sprawling Galaxies, each sphere becomes a fragment of a larger composition, distinct on its own, yet transformed through its relationship with the others.

A moment with: Ocean Jasper.

Discovered where ancient volcanic formations meet the ocean, Ocean Jasper is a material shaped by time, movement, and mineral transformation.

Its colors, orb-like patterns, and ever-changing landscapes make every sphere completely unique.

It’s one of the stones featured in Sprawling Galaxies, where geological formations become a reminder that the language of the Earth often echoes the imagery of the cosmos.

The honeymoon has come to an end, and Aurella and Vireon are finally back home. They return with hearts full of love, gratitude, and unforgettable memories.

One of the greatest surprises awaiting them was seeing their wedding featured in the pages of Vogue Living. They are truly honored to know that their ceremony continues to travel far beyond the walls of the chapel, reaching new horizons around the world.

A speacial thank you to Rebecca Caratti, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Living Australia, for including The Wedding in the special issue dedicated to Milan Design Week 2026; to Yeong Sassall for capturing the spirit of the ceremony through her words; and to Ramona Balaban for beautifully documenting every moment of the celebration.
