Recently I got this question on TikTok: โHow about a large uterus due to adenomyosis?โ
And yes, adenomyosis can definitely make the uterus enlarged too, which is why it can sometimes be confused with fibroids.
They may cause similar symptoms, but theyโre not the same condition, and the scan usually gives us important clues.
Iโve explained the difference in this video, including why some women can actually have both at the same time. Got another womenโs health question for me? Drop it below๐

Perimenopause can make your cycle feel unpredictable, and that often leads to confusion about fertility.
If pregnancy is something you are planning, or something you want to avoid, this stage deserves the right guidance rather than assumptions.
Speak to your gynaecologist about what is appropriate for you during perimenopause๐
Many pregnant mothers worry about taking paracetamol, especially after seeing headlines linking it to autism or ADHD.
But what does the evidence actually show?
When used appropriately, paracetamol remains the recommended first-choice option for pain and fever during pregnancy. Watch the video to learn what expecting mothers should know๐

Ge***al herpes is more common than many people realise, and having it does not define your health or relationships.
Although there is currently no cure, appropriate treatment and guidance can help manage outbreaks and reduce the risk of transmission.
There is no shame in getting tested and protecting your healthโจ

A little urine leakage after childbirth is something many mums experience, especially in the early weeks.
It may happen when you sneeze, laugh, cough or exercise, and while it can improve with time, you donโt have to just put up with it.
If it keeps happening or starts affecting your daily routine, speak to your doctor. The right pelvic floor support can make a real difference ๐
Being an OB-GYN doesnโt mean I follow a completely different set of rules. In fact, some of the advice I give my patients is exactly what Iโd follow myself.
From keeping up with cervical screening and avoiding unnecessary feminine products to taking persistent symptoms and period pain seriously, these are 5 things I personally wouldnโt ignore.
And yesโฆ being an OB-GYN does not mean Iโm saying no to the epidural๐
Which one surprised you the most?

Travelling during pregnancy can still be possible, but a little planning goes a long way๐คฐ๐ป
If your pregnancy is considered high-risk or youโre unsure whether travelling is suitable for you, discuss your travel plans with your obstetrician beforehand.
Travel smart. Travel prepared.

Pregnancy comes with many changes, and sometimes it can be difficult to know which symptoms are simply part of pregnancy and which deserve a closer look.
Obstetric cholestasis is manageable when recognised and monitored appropriately. If something feels unusual or continues to bother you, bring it up during your pregnancy care rather than brushing it aside๐
We've all heard pregnancy advice that's been passed down through generations but not all of it is backed by science. One of the most common myths can influence how mothers think about nutrition throughout pregnancy. Before you add that extra serving to your plate, it's worth knowing what your body and your growing baby truly need. Sometimes, a small shift in understanding can make a big difference๐คฐโจ
