ORDER| Prominent businessman David Sheehama, popularly known as Kambwa, has been ordered by the Windhoek High Court to pay N$30,000 per month in child maintenance following a divorce settlement with his former wife, Katrina Lugodhi Elifas.

The maintenance amount, set at N$15,000 per child, will increase annually by five percent and excludes other expenses. Sheehama is required to cover half of all medical costs and fully pay for the children’s education, including tertiary studies if needed.

The settlement paves the way for an uncontested divorce, with primary custody of the couple’s two minor children awarded to Elifas, while Sheehama will retain reasonable access. As part of the agreement, Elifas will also receive 35 head of cattle.

Court records show that Elifas initiated the divorce proceedings, citing emotional neglect and financial abandonment among the reasons.
