Postinor 2 is stronger than Postinor 1.
I’ve heard this so many times.
In fact, some people will specifically ask for Postinor 2 because they believe “2 is better than 1.”
But here’s the truth:
Postinor 1 and Postinor 2 contain the same total amount of medication.
The difference?
Postinor 1 comes as ONE tablet.
Postinor 2 comes as TWO tablets.
So taking Postinor 2 doesn’t mean you’re getting a stronger emergency contraceptive.
You’re simply getting the same medication packaged differently.
What matters most isn’t whether it’s Postinor 1 or Postinor 2.
What matters most is taking it as soon as possible after unprotected $èx because emergency contraceptives work best when taken early.
Lastly, Postinor is not meant to be your regular family planning method. It’s called an emergency contraceptive for a reason.
