Hello besties! Hope you had a good night rest 😊
Quick one before you scroll past — it’s World Hypertension Day this week, May 17.
Here’s why you should care even if you feel fine:
Hypertension = high blood pressure. And it’s called the “silent killer” for a reason.
No pain. No warning. But over time, it’s damaging your blood vessels.
Especially the ones in your brain.
And when those vessels burst or block? That’s a stroke.
1 in 2 strokes are linked to uncontrolled hypertension.
Most people only find out after something goes wrong.
So here’s your 2-min action plan for this week:
1. Check your BP – pharmacy, clinic, or home cuff. Know your numbers.
2. Cut the salt – aim for less than 1 tsp a day.
3. Move 30 mins – walk, dance, stretch. Anything that gets you moving.
If it’s high, don’t panic. Talk to a doctor early. That’s what keeps you alive and independent.
Measure it. Control it. Live longer. ❤️

Understanding Blood Sugar: Glycemia, Hypoglycemia & Hyperglycemia 🩺💙
Hey family, let’s talk about blood sugar in plain language. It’s important because it affects how you feel every day.
What is Glycemia?
Glycemia simply means the amount of sugar, or glucose, in your blood at any time. Glucose is the main fuel your body uses for energy. When it’s balanced, you feel strong, alert, and well.
What is Hypoglycemia?
Hypoglycemia means low blood sugar.
This happens when the glucose in your blood drops below normal.
You might feel: shaky, sweaty, dizzy, hungry, weak, confused, or have a headache.
Common causes: skipping meals, taking too much diabetes medicine, heavy exercise without eating, or drinking alcohol on an empty stomach.
What to do: If you feel these signs, eat or drink something sugary right away – like juice, a spoon of honey, or glucose tablets. Then follow up with a meal. If it happens often, see your doctor.
What is Hyperglycemia?
Hyperglycemia means high blood sugar.
This happens when there’s too much glucose in your blood, usually because your body isn’t making or using insulin properly.
You might feel: very thirsty, urinating a lot, tired, blurred vision, or have dry mouth.
Common causes: eating too many sugary or starchy foods, missing diabetes medicine, stress, or illness.
What to do: Drink water, follow your meal plan, take your medication as prescribed, and check your blood sugar if you can. If it stays high, contact your doctor.
---
Key takeaway:
Balanced blood sugar = steady energy and better health.
Know the signs, eat regular meals, take your meds as prescribed, and check with your healthcare provider if you’re unsure.
Stay healthy, stay informed 💚

Hello everyone
Family Planning : Making Informed Choices for Your Health and Future
Family planning means deciding if, when, and how many children to have. It’s about giving you and your family the best chance at good health and stability.
Why it matters:
1. Better health for mothers and children – Spacing pregnancies at least 2 years apart reduces risks for both mother and baby.
2. More control over your future – Planning helps with education, work, and finances.
3. Prevents unplanned pregnancies – So you can prepare emotionally, financially, and physically.
Options are available: Methods include pills, injectables, implants, IUDs, condoms, and natural methods. What works depends on your health, lifestyle, and goals.

Hello Everyone!!!!
Every Patient Deserves to Be Heard
We health workers do our best to listen to our patients.
With a warm smile, we attend to them patiently.
We don’t rush.
We take time to look at their family history and all the details before we act.
Because the real problem is often in the story they tell.
This is not just something we say we do.
This is what we do.
Let’s keep making patients feel heard, respected, and cared for.
That’s quality primary health care.
Drop a 💙 if you agree that listening is part of healing.
