Pregnancy almost gave me a heart attack by 2am this morning. 😭
At 36 weeks pregnant, when my baby can come anytime, I suddenly felt a sharp sting on my leg while I was sleeping on my bed.
The sting woke me up from sleep immediately. I jumped up wondering what could bite me in the middle of the night.
When I checked… it was a SCORPION on my bed. 🦂
My heart started beating so fast. The first thing that came to my mind was not even me… it was my baby.
I kept asking myself, “God please let my baby be safe.”
In panic, I quickly tied the place and ate onions the way our elders advise while praying quietly.
Then I held my belly…
And my baby started kicking strongly. 🥹
That movement alone calmed me down because it felt like my baby was saying, “Mama I’m still here.”
Imagine fighting a scorpion on top of your bed at 2am while 36 weeks pregnant. Pregnancy will humble you. 😩
Thank God I’m not feeling serious symptoms and my baby is still moving well. 🙏
Please keep us in your prayers. Mothers truly go through a lot before these babies even arrive.
Have you or someone you know ever experienced something like this before?

At 22 weeks pregnant, I used to panic 😭
I would feel those tiny little butterfly kicks 🥹💕
So soft… so gentle… so beautiful.
But the moment I touch my belle…
EVERYTHING would go quiet 😳
I’ll press small — nothing.
I’ll tap — nothing.
I’ll call my baby — silence.
I started overthinking 😩
“Why is my baby stopping?”
“Is something wrong?”
I complained to my husband.
I complained to my mum.
They just laughed and told me,
“Calm down… your baby is trying to master your touch.”
I didn’t understand it then.
FAST FORWARD TO MY THIRD TRIMESTER 🤰🔥
This same baby that used to hide from my hand
Is now doing martial arts inside my stomach 😭😂
Kicks that will reset your brain.
Turns that will make you hold your waist.
And when this baby steps on my belly button ehnnn… I will scream like I saw a ghost 😭😭
Sometimes I’ll shout,
“Ahh! Easy oh! It’s my body!”
Pregnancy is funny like that.
From tiny secret movements…
To full football practice inside my womb ⚽😂
And now when I touch my belly?
My baby responds immediately like,
“Ohhh you want to play? Say no more.” 🤣💕
To every first time mama worrying because your baby stops moving when you touch your stomach — relax ❤️
They’re just learning you.
And before you know it…
You’ll be begging them to calm down 😂
Pregnancy is wild.
But feeling my baby move?
Best feeling ever 🥹❤️

Last week Sunday, I experienced something that opened my eyes 👀
As a first-time mom, when I started having contractions, I didn’t ignore it. I rushed to the hospital because this pregnancy means everything to me 🤰🏽❤️
When they asked me to see the doctor, it wasn’t the one I usually see. The first question he asked me was…
“Madam, are you pregnant?”
I was shocked 😳
Anyone that sees me can clearly tell I’m heavily pregnant.
Then he started asking random questions —
“What do you cook with? Gas or firewood?”
He kept sending me out and calling me back in. Meanwhile, I was in serious pain.
That was when I noticed he was calling the main doctor to ask questions. At that point, I already knew… this was a student doctor.
The moment that scared me the most?
He said he wanted to give me an injection 💉
The nurses were the ones directing him on where to find my vein. Nurses were literally guiding him.
After everything, he said I would be admitted for two days and the injections would cost ₦40,000 deposit.
I said how for person wey no even know where vein dey for my hand? 😩
I didn’t run because of the money.
I ran because I was scared.
Pregnancy is not the time for experiments. Especially when you’re in pain and already emotional as a first-time mom.
I understand that student doctors need to learn. But please, supervision and proper introduction matters. Tell patients clearly. Reassure us. We are not training materials — we are human beings carrying lives.
That experience taught me something:
Always speak up. Always ask questions. And if you’re not comfortable, you have the right to say no.
First-time moms, please don’t ignore your instincts. 🤍
