The below pictures are two different kinds of ventilating method
First slide is double knot split method
Second slide is single knot method.
The double knot split method;

🔥More tighter
🔥 Can be styled in different ways
🔥 Takes more time to ventilate
The single knot method;
🔥Last long as well but not compared to double knot split method
🔥Faster to ventilate
🔥 can't be easily styled aside the parting made while ventilating
🔥More affordable
🔥Most commonly used method by ventilators
