Yesterday at the Lagos business school, EDC. For the very first time I pitched HABITS HABITAT even with my emotions playing lots of trick on me, I believe I was able to pass a message 😊 Waooo!

What an experience, thank you for the training, for the discipline, for the networking for the insights, importantly for building up courage, resilience and giving hope to the upcoming women entrepreneur . I present and proud to be amongst AWPN VENDORS COHORT 4!

Cholera is a highly infectious and potentially deadly. It is caused by:
- Contaminated food, contact with feaces, vomit of an infected person, contact with someone who has died from cholera, contaminated water, and poor hygiene practices spread cholera.
- Symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration, rapid weight loss, fever, low blood pressure, dry mouth and dizziness at the same time.
- Prompt treatment with oral rehydration therapy, (ORT) or intravenous fluids, antibiotics and good hygiene practices can save lives.
- Good hygiene practices, such as handwashing with soap and clean water, abstaining from raw foods, washing or peeling ones own fruits individually can prevent cholera.
- Although there is a vaccine against cholera, but it only lasts for few months.
However you can protect yourself and loved ones by observing the above mentioned good practices and engage in community activities to stop and prevent cholerae infection; as a health care worker, your responses to emergency goes a long way.

WHAT IS THE INSPIRATION AND IDEA BEHIND YOUR BUSINESS?

Herb_it_ was inspired to start this healthy food business when she got healed holistically after the doctor that did the CS on her for her last child 5yrs ago mistakenly cut into her bladder, she couldn’t go back for a corrective CS immediately as there where other health issues, she started a meal plan (for 3 months) a strictly protein, fiber, fruits and good fat diet alongside some herbal supplements.
She got healed of the fistula in her bladder without a corrective CS. She decided to go back to school, to learn more about food( Food science and technology, Nutrition and dietetics) Hence she realized food is medicine!
The idea behind herbit’s habitat is to heal the body holistically with organic healthy foods, get the rightful nutrients in food and enjoy food as a preventive medicine
