A conversation I had recently completely changed how I see commitment in relationships.
It wasn’t dramatic.
No shouting.
No deep argument.
Just a calm conversation… but it stayed with me.
Someone I respect said something so casually about commitment and partnership, and it made me realize something uncomfortable:
We don’t all define relationships the same way.
Some people enter relationships looking for safety.
Some are looking for control.
Some genuinely want growth.
And others just want companionship.
But most of us assume we’re on the same page.
We use the same words…love, loyalty, commitment…
but we don’t always mean the same things.
And that’s where the disconnect begins.
It made me understand why so many relationships don’t work…not because people don’t care, and not always because someone is toxic…
But because they were never aligned to begin with.
Different expectations.
Different definitions.
Different end goals.
And sometimes we don’t discover that until emotions are already involved.
So now I find myself thinking more about alignment than attraction.
What do you think ruins relationships more is it lack of love, or lack of alignment?

Samuel story just broke my heart and healed it 😭 🙌🏻
I’m sitting here still processing the video of 19year old Samuel, the boy Bayuz TV introduced us to. If you haven’t seen it, grab your tissues.
The young boy with a man’s burden, trying to survive his limitations.
But here is the beauty of the "Daily Dish" of life: Grace doesn’t find you idle; it finds you at work.
Grace didn't just knock on his door; it broke the door down!

Samuel wasn't sitting at home waiting for a savior. He was on the streets, working his hands, being honest. Someone saw his sweat before they saw his smile.
When it’s your time to shine, no force on earth can dim your light. Samuel’s story is a reminder: Keep working, stay honest, and let Grace do the rest.
Drop a "HEAVENLY GRACE" in the comments if you believe your miracle is next!

Distance from spaces that only remember your mistakes, not your growth.
