Oko poly debunk reports of student de@th in building collapse 😭

The management of Federal Polytechnic, Oko has denied reports claiming that many of its students were trapped or killed in the three-storey building that collapsed on Sunday night.

According to the school, the building was not on the Polytechnic campus but in the nearby Amaokpala community. It was a privately owned lodge occupied by both students and non-students.

The Polytechnic confirmed that:

* No Federal Polytechnic, Oko student has been confirmed dead.
* Several occupants were rescued and taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
* About two people, believed not to be students, may still be trapped as rescue efforts continue.

The Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, visited the
scene alongside school officials, while Anambra State government officials and emergency responders coordinated rescue operations.

The institution urged the public to ignore false social media reports and said it will continue to provide verified updates as more information becomes available
