“Sometimes” Your Wig Isn’t Shedding Because It’s “Bad”You’re Probably Making These Mistakes. 👇

Common Mistakes:

1. Sleeping with your wig on your head (Do people do that)? 👀
The constant friction against your pillow causes tangling, matting, and unnecessary shedding.

1. Using too much heat
Even premium human hair wigs can become dry and brittle when exposed to excessive heat without a heat protectant.

• Always use a heat protectant spray (available to purchase at Wigs by Sally) and keep your tools on medium heat.

3. Washing it too often, or not enough
Overwashing drys moisture, also infrequent washing leads to product buildup that dulls the hair. Try to balance it.

4. Brushing from the roots down. 😭 (Are you fighting with the wig)?
Detangle from the tips upward. Gently. Starting from the roots puts unnecessary tension on the knots that’s where shading happens.

5. Ignoring proper storage
Leaving your wig on a chair, bed, or in a bag can ruin its shape. Leave it on a wig stand or a mannequin to maintain its form. Get yourself a mannequin 🌚 you need it.

6. Using products meant for natural hair. Why?? 😒
Heavy oils and harsh alcohol-based products can weigh the wig down or dry it out. Less is more, and wig-friendly products work best. (Don’t use hair cream) 😩

A high-quality wig is an investment. The better you care for it, the longer it last for you.
