On 15 June 2026, the CLiCs Mental Health Club, UNIOSUN Chapter conducted a campus-wide mental health awareness outreach aimed at educating students on the impact of family expectations on mental well-being.
The outreach was centered on Family Expectations and narrowed down to when Love Feels Like Pressure. The campaign explored how expectations from family members regarding academic performance, future career choices, financial success, family responsibilities, and comparisons with siblings or peers can create emotional and psychological pressure for students. The outreach encouraged students to recognize these challenges, maintain healthy boundaries, practice self-compassion, and seek support when needed.
The awareness was conducted by CLiCs Mental Health Club UNIOSUN Chapter, a student-led initiative supported by CLiCs Mental Health Support Network.
During the exercise, approximately 500 students were reached across the campus through direct engagement and the distribution of awareness flyers. Students were introduced to the club's activities and engaged in meaningful conversations on mental health and emotional well-being.
The outreach recorded a positive turnout and response from students, successfully increasing awareness of mental health challenges associated with family expectations and reinforcing the importance of mental well-being within the university community.
