One of the most frustrating things I experience during skincare consultations? 😩

A client comes to me with damaged, irritated, uneven or overly sensitive skin… I explain what is causing the problem, recommend what they should stop using, and advise them to discontinue the products damaging their skin.

Then they go back to using the SAME products🥲

And honestly, I understand that stopping can be difficult—especially when a product seems to be giving you that “instant glow” or making your skin look lighter.

But as a skincare expert, I have seen too many cases of skin damage linked to aggressive skin-lightening/bleaching practices.

That temporary brightness is NOT worth compromising your skin barrier.

Bleaching can lead to problems such as thinning and increased sensitivity of the skin, irritation, uneven pigmentation and other forms of skin damage, especially when potent or inappropriate products are misused.

Please, don’t wait until your skin becomes seriously damaged before you take the warning seriously.

Your natural complexion is NOT a problem that needs to be fixed. 🤎

Healthy skin > lighter skin.

And if you’ve already damaged your skin from bleaching, don’t panic and don’t start adding more products randomly. Get proper guidance and give your skin the care it needs.

I’m not saying this to judge anyone.

I’m saying it because I’ve seen what happens when we keep choosing temporary results over healthy skin.
