The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing discipline in the education sector by intensifying its crackdown on schools that violate the ban on graduation parties. Seven private schools have been sanctioned and ordered to refund all monies collected from parents within a month or face closure. The Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ekene Ogugua, emphasized that the government will not tolerate any violation of its education policies, warning that failure to comply with the directive will attract severe penalties. The affected schools are required to submit verifiable evidence of refunds to the Ministry of Education, and the government has warned that monitoring teams will continue inspections across all education zones to identify and sanction defaulters. The enforcement exercise is part of the state's efforts to eliminate unauthorized levies imposed on parents and ensure schools adhere to established education guidelines.

The regulatory body NAFDAC has issued a directive prohibiting the sale of alcohol in sachet form and PET bottles with volumes under 200ml. Any sales of these products are now strictly forbidden. This move is designed to limit youth access to alcoholic beverages. Enforcement of this ban commenced 2 days ago. Retailers are required to withdraw these items from their stocks. Street vendors are also at risk of arrest and prosecution. It is advisable for individuals to seek alternative products to avoid legal complications. Bail conditions have become quite demanding.

"Somebody called God to have mercy on me. Somebody called God to have mercy on me.

They have been telling me to rest. My family has been telling me, 'Rest, Karozi, rest.' Even my customers and the people who patronise me have been saying I should rest.

I'm always trying to be hardworking. I work fast. I hardly sleep. I don't sleep during the day, and I hardly sleep at night.

You all know I'm in Lagos. I came to Lagos for several reasons. Ever since I arrived, I have not rested. I have been moving around for business, attending to customers, editing, and doing many other things.

I went to Trade Fair Market to buy sunscreen for resale. I didn't want a situation where I would sell face products to my customers and ask them to buy sunscreen elsewhere. I also wanted to avoid buying fake products.

I bought 20 pieces of La Roche sunscreen at ₦22,000 each. Those who know the product know how expensive it is. I also bought 20 pieces of Nivea, 20 pieces of Skin Aqua, a face steaming machine, gummies, and many other items worth over ₦1 million.

As I entered a public bus, sleep overtook me. I even put my phone inside my bag and zipped it tightly so I wouldn't lose it because I kept dozing off.

All the goods I bought were in the boot under the seat. Do you know that I stupidly got down from the bus and forgot everything I bought?

Ah! This one really pained me. I got home, changed my clothes, used the toilet, and lay down to sleep. I was even hungry. I said, 'Let me sleep a little before I look for food.'

While sleeping, I dreamt about buying sunscreen products. When I woke up, I asked myself, 'Where's my package?' That was when I remembered I had left everything behind.

Oh, Jesus.

It was around 7:25. I'm heading to Mile 2 now, all the way from Ijebu Bega. It's about a two-hour journey.

Please, if I don't find those goods, I'll fall sick. I might even have to shut down my business."

~ Businesswoman breaks down after allegedly leaving over ₦1 million worth of skincare products on a Lagos commercial bus, blaming exhaustion and lack of sleep for the costly mistake.
