Am Dima Ojimba from Okrika, a proud member of the Indigenous Igbo Congress (IIC), Rivers State.
They claimed there was never a prominent figure in Okrika known as Chief Ndubuisi. Yet, the elders of George Ama themselves clearly stated that after Chief Ndubuisi, Enyi Nnaya took over. This directly acknowledges Chief Ndubuisi's existence and role in their own historical account.
Little children shouldn't think they can insult their fathers simply because they have access to the internet or the social media.
We understand that many of the Igbo figures names in Okrika were changed for the fear of Ndigbo which they call Piri Ama Apu(Ndi Ama Ohia, Ndi Mba Ohia, in another Igbo dialect Ndi oha ofia).
I'm Proudly Okrika Igbo I don't respond with emotions, I respond with facts.

The IIC Emohua Zone held its meeting today in Rumuji Community.
It is time for all Indigenous Igbo communities in Rivers State to unite under the umbrella of the Indigenous Igbo Congress (IIC). Together, we can speak with one voice, defend our heritage, and promote our common interests. The era of divide-and-rule aimed at weakening our people should come to an end.
The IIC is committed to representing and advancing the interests of the Indigenous Igbo communities of the coastal region.

Eze Aro said that the Aro people did not migrate from anywhere. According to him, they are indigenous to Arochukwu, and from there they spread to many parts of the South East and South South.
Now, some people are attacking his statement. Ironically, these are the same people who will criticize any Igbo clan that claims an origin from Israel. So, when an Igbo king says the Aro did not migrate from anywhere, they still reject it.
It seems that, regardless of what is said, some people are determined to oppose any statement about Igbo origins that does not fit their preferred narrative.
I love that statement from Eze Aro but I still need to meet with him, we get many scores to settle

THE ARO CONFEDERACY
The Aro people are indigenous to Arochukwu. According to the Eze Aro, the Aros did not migrate from anywhere. From Arochukwu, they spread across three geopolitical zones of Nigeria: the South East, South South, and parts of the Middle Belt (Kogi and Benue States).
Today, there are over 300 communities in the South East alone where Aro people settled.

Those who have transcended worldly gratification and attained godliness do not live in falsehood or denial.
This is Bishop Emmanuel Okwuchi Oko Jaja of the Anglican Communion. He is from Opobo and belongs to the royal family.
Yet, you will notice that he proudly embraces his Igbo identity. He does not introduce himself without including his Igbo name, Okwuchi.
The fact is that many people from Opobo and Bonny have native Igbo names. However, most choose to remain silent because of the prejudice and hostility the Nigerian political system has often directed toward people who identify as Igbo.
The question now is: Why continue hiding your identity when the storm is over?

Today marks 12 months since I created the Proudly Okrika Igbo page.
I created this page to promote the Igbo identity in the coastal region and to challenge the false claims and propaganda that some Ijo pages and bloggers have spread over the years about the Igbo identity.
One of the posts by CreekviewTV, along with similar posts from others, motivated me to create this page. Before then, I had already responded to this particular post by CreekviewTv on my TikTok page in 2024.
What disappoints me most is that when you visit many of these anti-Igbo pages, you will find that many of their followers and supporters are Igbo people themselves. The screenshot below shows some of the people following my page here who are following an anti Igbo page.

You will often see people openly denigrating the Igbo nation, yet many Igbos still follow their pages, engage with their posts, and help increase their reach. One of the greatest challenges facing the Igbo nation is that many of our own people have not learned how to use social media to promote, defend, and advance Igbo interests.
