ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! — SECURITY MUST COME FIRST

I strongly condemn the reported killing of 32 innocent residents of Ungushi Community, Kebbe Local Government Area of Sokoto State, allegedly by bandits.

This is another painful reminder of the urgent need to prioritise the protection of lives and property across Sokoto State. No family should have to lose loved ones to violence, and no community should live in constant fear.

My heartfelt condolences go to the bereaved families and the entire people of Ungushi Community. May Allah forgive those who lost their lives and grant them Aljannatul Firdaus, and may He give their families the strength and patience to bear this painful loss.

Enough is enough!

The security of our people must be treated as a top priority. Our people need protection, not promises. They need safe communities where they can farm, trade, go to school and live their lives without fear.

The protection of human lives must always come before projects that can wait.

A yau, Makarantar Islamiyya ta Sarkin Gona da ke Kofar Marke ta gudanar da wani gagarumin taro na yaye daliban da s**a kammala matakin karatun Sakandare, inda iyaye, malamai, dalibai da sauran al’umma s**a halarta.

Dr. Shamsuddeen Aliyu Haido, ɗan takarar Gwamnan Jihar Sokoto a ƙarƙashin jam’iyyar Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), yana daga cikin tsofaffin daliban wannan makaranta, inda ya yi karatun addinin Musulunci a makarantar kafin daga bisani aka haɗa da karatun boko.

Saboda wasu dalilai da s**a hana shi halartar taron da kansa, Dr. Haido ya samu wakilci ta hannun Alh. Shehu Garba, wanda ya halarci taron a madadinsa.

A cikin jawabinsa, Alh. Shehu Garba ya jaddada muhimmancin ilimi wajen gina rayuwar matasa da ci gaban al’umma, tare da kira ga iyaye da sauran masu ruwa da tsaki da su ci gaba da tallafawa harkar ilimi.

STRATEGIC POLITICAL MEETING IN ABUJA

A high-level strategic meeting was held in Abuja with Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, bringing together prominent leaders and stakeholders of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

Among those present were the NDC 2027 Governorship Candidate for Sokoto State, Dr. Shamsuddeen Aliyu Haido; the NDC Sokoto State Chairman, Hon. Bello Sani Yabo; the NDC candidate for Sokoto Central Senatorial District, Hon. Mainasara Abubakar Sani; and other key party stakeholders.

The meeting provided an opportunity for discussions on issues concerning the progress and strengthening of the party, internal coordination, unity, and preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The gathering reflected the continued engagement among party leaders and stakeholders as they discuss the future direction and development of the party.
