The Zaria Local Government Council Secretary, Hon. Shuaibu Abdullahi (Mai Canter), continued his regular engagement with the people today, as he welcomed different groups, political stakeholders and community representatives to his office.

One of the groups was a delegation of women from Unguwan Kaya, who came to familiarise themselves with the Council Secretary and discuss their growing interest in politics. The women explained that they were ready to become more active in women mobilisation and political engagement. They also expressed their desire to work under his guidance, particularly in organising women and strengthening political participation within their community.

The Secretary welcomed the initiative and appreciated them for coming forward. He encouraged the women to remain organised, peaceful and committed, assuring them that their willingness to participate in politics and contribute to grassroots mobilisation was appreciated.

He also welcomed members of Dogaran Zazzau, who paid a familiarisation visit to his office. The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and maintain an open channel of communication with the community.

The day’s political engagement continued with the arrival of the Uba Sani Continuity Project 2027 delegation from Tukur Tukur Ward, the Secretary’s political ward. The delegation came not only to pay a familiarisation visit but also to brief the Council Secretary on the progress of the project in the ward and the activities being carried out to strengthen its grassroots structure.

The project which the Secretary currently supervises and chairs, is focused on building a strong grassroots network in support of the continuity of Governor Uba Sani’s administration ahead of the 2027 elections.

In a notable show of personal commitment, the Ward Coordinator, Malam Abubakar, presented his personal vehicle to support the project’s mobilisation and campaign activities in Tukur Tukur Ward. He also reaffirmed his determination to work with other members of the structure to mobilise support for Governor Senator Uba Sani, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen and other APC candidates in Zaria, particularly within the ward.

The renewed political activity across the ward structures also reflects the growing support for the APC’s continuity agenda in Zaria, under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, alongside the political and developmental direction of the Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga).
