We need to talk about the 'luteal uglies'.
If you've spent the week before your period feeling puffy, spotty, tired and completely unlike yourself, no, you didn't imagine it. Ostrogen drops, progesterone falls away, and your skin, sleep and mood go with them.
The internet gave it a name, and that name is doing two things at once. It's got thousands of women talking about days they used to push through in silence. It's also handed us the word 'ugly' for a totally normal part of a cycle.
So tell us. Does naming it help, or does it do more harm than good? And if 'luteal uglies' isn't the right name, what would you call it?
