A follow-up for last week’s chap & a catch-up with another client. Both horses are at the inter-schools in Taupo next week. Sounds like a lot of fun!

It was lovely to meet this older chap today & I really enjoyed teaching his young owner some techniques to maximise the benefit of the session.

One of my horses has chronic asthma and with the onset of the pollen season, I thought I’d share these articles. I manage my mare’s condition with a steroid injection, regular veterinary testing, steamed hay and an airy walk-in covered shelter. In the past she’s had steroid inhalers, but these aren’t a great long term option.

Dr David Marlin, a UK-based equine scientist has carried out testing on the effects of supplements, including Vitamin C, and I’ve been using that for a while too. His podcasts are worth checking out too.
