My first visit to Shanghai
was thirteen years ago.

Back then, we were a group of young professionals, 👩🏻‍💼👨🏻‍💼
full of dreams and ambition,
coming together for two weeks of business training.

🌆 Shanghai in the early morning was effortlessly glamorous.

Immaculate streets,
stylish, confident women,
men walking with quiet assurance,
coffee in hand,
moving through the morning light. ☕️✨

Our senior colleagues were talented and accomplished,
graceful in their words and actions,
confident and composed
even in the face of complex challenges.

Back then,
we were excited to discover a bigger world, 🌍
yet quietly aware of our own inexperience
and uncertainty.

I came to realise that the difference between people
isn't just about ability,
but also perspective, confidence,
and the grace to navigate the world with ease.

⏳ Thirteen years later,
I'm walking the streets of Shanghai once again.

The Bund remains beautiful. 🌉
The city still sparkles.

And so many encounters along the way
have become treasured chapters of our lives. 🤍

To revisit a city
is also to reunite with who we once were.

Grateful for the people we met,
and the memories we made.
