Native botanical skincare made by a woman who started a business and accidentally exposed her entire personality online.

Lucid Leef is out of the office this weekend while we celebrate hubby's birthday.

Today I tried snowboarding for the first time.

My arse met the snow more times than I can count and the nephew told hubby he seen me do a flip. It was more like a tumble down the mountain 🤣🤣.

But I did managed a few surprisingly decent glides before freaking the f**k out and bailing to avoid taking innocent bystanders out.

So I'm calling that a success.

Also discovered my waterproof Kathmandu jacket is now apparently just a jacket. Expensive f**ken sponge.

Amd by the time the rain reached my thermals, it was too late to hire, the damage was done 😅.

Hence photo one: absolutely f**king saturated.

Photo two: hubby and me back at our accommodation, defrosting under the heat pump.

Lessons were learned.

Bruises were collected.

And I'll definitely be back next year with a new fkn jacket 😅.

Now off to look for the best lamb shank in town.

This is not a shipping policy.
Just a personality defect.

Edit: There was no expectations from the customer that I send this next day. It was all me.

C'mon Google. I thought you were supposed to be smart 🤣🤣🤣.

Apparently I'm dealing with a different kind of botanical 😅.

THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN.

Perfume Oils take the win.

Although my husband did interfere with the voting system to help the Hair and Beard oil put up a good fight.

So for that reason, they are pinned to the front of the cue.

Happy husband, less dysfunction 🤣.

But first...

We're making perfume oils.

Now, before anyone starts asking when they're available, settle in. This s**t takes time.

There's formula development.

Fragrance development.

Letting everything sit so the fragrance can properly marry together.

Testing.

Realising something isn't quite right.

Fu***ng with it.

Testing again.

Stability testing, because smelling incredible on Day 1 means f**k all if you're giving eau de toilet water by Day 21.

Then it'll go out to my product testers before moving to packaging, labels, compliance, production and probably 10 other things future me will discover along the way.

I'm not rushing this one.

I want these perfume oils concentrated, long-lasting and worthy of joining the Lucid Leef range.

So there won't be a release date yet.

For now, you've chosen what comes next.

Time for me to disappear down another formulation rabbit hole.
