Quiet thoughts of a Nanay, written in whatever language the heart allows.

Many children grow up in two homes
and still feel whole,

not because everything was perfect,
but because their parents chose
to be gentle and respectful.

A child should never feel
that loving one parent
means turning away from the other.

They should not carry confusion,
resentment,
or pain that was never theirs.

Separation is already hard.
The least parents can do
is protect their child's heart.

A child needs love, not pressure.
Peace, not conflict.
And never a reason
to choose between the people they love. 🤍

When parents turn one child into an ally against another…

Sometimes the harm doesn’t come from anger,
but from the quiet things said behind someone’s back.

When parents speak about one child to another,
it places a weight on their hearts.

One child begins to feel judged,
while the other begins to feel responsible
for something that was never theirs to carry.

Instead of safety,
it creates comparison, doubt, and distance between siblings.

A home is meant to be a place
where siblings feel secure with each other,
not where they are quietly placed on opposite sides.

Children should not feel that love must be earned by choosing sides.

Healthy families learn to speak directly to address issues with care,
protect the bond between their children,
and spare them from choosing sides.

The way we handle conflicts inside our home
teaches our children what love feels like
and what it should never feel like.

Because the safest homes
are the ones where respect is practiced
even when someone is not in the room. 🤍

There comes a quiet moment when you realize,
not every expectation deserves your yes.

For a long time,
you try to keep everyone happy.
You explain yourself.
You adjust.
You carry what was never yours to carry.
And slowly,
your own peace becomes the price.

A peaceful heart was never meant to be sacrificed just to please the world.
Not every opinion needs your response.
Not every disappointment is your burden.

Some doors can remain closed.
Some distances are necessary.
Because at the end of the day,
when the noise fades
and the room grows quiet,
what truly matters
is not how many people approve of you,
but whether your heart is still at peace.

So choose gentleness
not only for others,
but especially for yourself too.

Protect your quiet.
Guard your peace.
Because some things in life
are simply not worth
the cost of your calm. 🤍

Children remember how they were spoken to.
Not the words,
but the feelings behind them.

The way we speak to them
becomes the voice they hear when they fail,
when they doubt themselves,
when no one is watching.

What we say doesn’t always end in the moment.
It stays.
It becomes the way they talk to themselves
on days we’re not there to speak for them.
That’s why gentleness matters,
especially when patience is thin.

One day, life will ask hard things of them.
And when it does,
it won’t be our voice beside them.
It will be the echo we leave behind.

So speak with care.
Speak with love.
Not because we are perfect parents,
but because our words become
a place they return to. 🤍

Some smiles are simply learned.

Motherhood teaches you how to function even when you’re tired,
how to show up even when parts of you feel unseen.
It is not always loud or obvious.
Most of the time, it’s quiet responsibility.

You make sure the house runs,
the children are okay,
the world feels steady for everyone else.

Your mind keeps track of everything,
even the things no one else is thinking about.

Life repeats.
It doesn't pause.
Care is instinct, not choice.

And somewhere in between,
you learn to keep going
without being asked if you're still okay too.

There's no pay for this kind of work.
No applause.
No clear ending.
Just love, showing up again tomorrow. 🤍

Bawat ina ay may kanya-kanyang kwento.

Hindi lahat ng ina ay lumaking
may isang inang naging gabay sa tabi nila.

May mga natutong maging isang ina
hindi dahil may nagturo sa kanila,
kundi dahil pinili nilang maging iba
para sa kanilang mga anak.

May mga kinailangang mapalayo
ngunit hindi nangangahulugang pagtalikod,
kundi isang mukha ng pagmamahal
at pagsasakripisyo.

Iba’t-ibang kwento na may iisang mukha.
Isang ina na handang harapin ang mga hamon,
alang-alang sa mga anak. 🤍
