The difference between not crimping a wig versus crimping it.

Many cosplayers who just started cosplaying often ask, " What is the purpose of crimping? " Or " What does crimping do to wigs? ".

Well, I asked the same question a year ago before I started doing wigs when I had NO clue about wig styling, I was basically clueless.. until I saw tiktoks of wig styling tutorials and etc. That's when I saw someone named " Lulu " if I recall.. She does a lot of wigs AND she is extremely creative in styling her wigs, SO I got inspired by her.🫪

Now here's me styling wigs.. now back to the topic... Crimping is extremely important to wigs BUT it doesn't mean you have to immediately buy a crimper, I myself started wig styling without crimping any wigs, not so surprising at all right? Well, I never did know what crimping is really all about until I saw people explaining why crimping is important this why crimping is important that..🥺

Why crimping is important:

• Gives your wig volume (basically it makes it fluffier and thicker)
• Easier to manage (in my opinion)
• It makes it similar to real human hair
• It reduces shine

But sometimes crimping takes alot of time especially when you're doing it section by section, I don't really do it properly (in my own wigs) but it mostly depends if I have alot of time to spare and thats when I actually take it seriously… 😳
