1. Your scalp becomes conditioned to this vicious cycle of excess oil production. As you transition to a natural shampoo bar, your scalp needs time to rebalance scalp oil production. During this transition period, hair may feel and look greasy or heavy.

2. When you start using natural hair products, your hair readjusts by overproducing sebum. Some people don’t experience a shampoo bar transition period, but it can last between 3-4 weeks or even longer for some.
The shampoo bar transition period is usually more extended if you live in a hard water area (which we do); a water softener helps hugely.

3. This may not be suitable for colour-treated hair.

4. Don't Overwash: Resist the urge to wash your hair too frequently during the transition. Overwashing can strip your scalp of its natural oils and prolong the adjustment period.
