The CAS College Electoral Board formally invites all CAS students to the Miting de Avance for the 2026 CAS Student General Elections with the theme “𝗛𝗔𝗕𝗜: 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗯𝘂𝗯𝘂𝗸𝗹𝗼𝗱 𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗴, 𝗛𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗵𝘂𝗯𝗼𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗔𝗦.”

As the culmination of the campaign period, this event serves as the candidates' final opportunity to present their platforms, articulate their vision, and demonstrate that they are worthy of serving as the next members of the College of Arts and Sciences Student Council (CASSC).

The College of Arts and Sciences Student Council serves as the primary representative of the student body, advancing student welfare, safeguarding student rights, and leading initiatives that shape the academic and collegiate experience. The leaders elected to the Council will make decisions that directly affect the CAS community; therefore, every student's participation in this event is vital to making an informed electoral choice.

IN PHOTOS: Dubbed “LC44,” the team—comprising seven Organizational Communication majors, namely: Gio Leaño, Jan Lloyd Concepcion, Thyrone Yenwathana, Ser Thomas Rouen Diaz, Jerlinda Reyes, Allyanna Diane Cartas, and Jaren Bricks Cordero; and three Biochemistry students, namely: Min Kyung Lee, Arabella Clarissa Sayat, and Helaena Lorainne Garcia—traveled to Thailand for the 2026 Leaders Conference and Global Camp. Their mission: to pitch “Thai-M to Log Off,” a campaign designed to break the cycle of instant gratification that fuels screen addiction.

Competing under the theme “Youth for Social Change,” the University of the Philippines Manila delegation bested 51 groups from across the globe, including economically advanced nations like South Korea, China, Indonesia, and Thailand, to secure second place.
