👁️🗨️Rapid Convenience Monitoring (RCM) Conducted in Barangay Balantoy!
Today, September 10, 2026, the Department of Health (DOH) conducted Rapid Convenience Monitoring (RCM) in Barangay Balantoy, Balbalan, Kalinga after the successful Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR SIA).
RCM is a monitoring tool used by DOH to validate immunization coverage. Through random house-to-house visits, the team checks if target children 6-59 months old were really vaccinated and identifies missed children to ensure no child is left behind.
The DOH team was assisted and accompanied by our RHM, HRH, and dedicated BHWs/BNS of Balantoy Proper. Together they conducted house-to-house visits and monitored target children if they were vaccinated with MR vaccine.
We are proud to share that Barangay Balantoy achieved 99% accomplishment in the said MR SIA activity!
Kudos to the teamwork of DOH, RHU Balbalan, Barangay Officials headed by Hon. Miguel T. Tangkib & staff and our health workers parents/guardians for achieving such accomplishment. For a healthy and protected Balantoy!

👀HPV VACCINATION & MR SIA MOP-UP DONE ✅
Today, Grade 4 female pupils received their HPV vaccine at Balantoy Health Station.
WHAT IS HPV?
HPV = Human Papillomavirus. It is a common virus transmitted through skin-to-skin contact. Some types of HPV can cause cervical cancer, ge***al warts, and other cancers later in life. Cervical cancer is the 2nd most common cancer among Filipino women.
WHY THE HPV VACCINE?
The HPV vaccine is safe and effective. It protects against the HPV types that cause 70% of cervical cancers.
Best given at Grade 4 because it works best BEFORE exposure to the virus. 2 doses = long-term protection.
Prevention is better than cure 💗
📌MR SIA MOP-UP ALSO DONE
We vaccinated 5 eligible children for Measles-Rubella today to ensure no child is left behind and to maintain community protection.
Let's continue to protect our children through vaccination.
