Ang prosisyon ng mga santo tuwing Biyernes Santo ay isang mahalagang bahagi ng paggunita ng mga Katoliko sa Biyernes Santo, na kabilang sa Semana Santa.

Ano ang Prosisyon?

Ito ay isang relihiyosong parada kung saan inilalabas ang mga imahen ng mga santo at eksena ng paghihirap at pagkamatay ni Hesus.

Karaniwan itong ginaganap sa gabi, tahimik at solemne, bilang pagninilay at pag-alala sa sakripisyo ni Kristo.

Mga Karaniwang Makikita sa Prosisyon

1. Carroza – mga karwaheng may dalang imahen ng mga santo

2. Mga imahen tulad ng:
Hesus Nazareno
Birheng Maria (lalo na ang Mater Dolorosa o Inang Nagdadalamhati)
Mga apostol at iba pang santo
Mga debotong nagdarasal habang naglalakad
Mga taong may hawak na kandila bilang simbolo ng pananalig

Kahalagahan
Ang prosisyon ay:
Pagpapakita ng pananampalataya at debosyon
Paraan ng pagsisisi at pagninilay
Pag-alala sa pagpapakasakit at pagkamatay ni Hesus
