In 1990, our founder Rosalina Tan bought one bottle of Pili Oil to help a farmer feed his family. Soon, Mary Jane, Rosalina's daughter, discovered how many bottles of Pili Oil her mother had accumulated! Her mom's compassion planted the seed that eventually grew to become their lifelong mission: advocating an organic and sustainable agricultural practice that will empower local farmers. This passion to support Pili farmers in Bicol, Philippines led them to discover the many gifts of the pili tree. Most are familiar with the Pili Nut, renowned as a superfood for its nutrient-rich properties. This nut is found inside the Pili Fruit, which contains the pulp where our Pili Oil comes from. It's packed with vitamin E and antioxidants, making it an excellent ingredient to counter skin damage. What's so special about the Pili Tree is it's the gift that keeps on giving: Aside from its fruit, its bark also produces Elemi Oil, a gentle yet effective antiseptic that clarifies, brightens, and firms the skin.
