Restraint in a formulation is harder than addition.
It's easier to throw more ingredients at a problem than to choose nine and trust them to do the work. It's easier to claim broader benefits than to stay inside what the formula has been built for. It's easier to add fragrance for shelf appeal than to let peppermint and spearmint be the only scent in the bottle.
Restraint is also what allows skin that's been through too many products to recover trust in something new. The fewer the ingredients, the easier the patch test. The clearer the formulation, the easier the decision.
Nine ingredients in Ginhawa Oil. Locked. Each one earning its place.
This is the brand's posture, and it isn't going to change because the calendar says scale up.

Tocopherol. Vitamin E. Two percent of Ginhawa Oil.
It's not there for marketing. It's there because it works. Tocopherol is a natural antioxidant that does two jobs at once: it protects the other oils in the bottle from oxidation over time, and it contributes to the formulation's stability on skin.
Two percent is the working dose. More would be excess. Less would mean shorter shelf life and faster degradation.
Payday is approaching. If Ginhawa Oil has been on your shortlist, here's the second reminder.

Two to three drops. That's the per-application dose for most body areas.
Warm the drops briefly between palms. Apply outward, from center of the limb toward the extremities. Forearms benefit most from this method, since the oil spreads with the direction of skin texture rather than against it.
Repeat on the opposite arm. Then shins. Then chest and back if needed.
Total time, under a minute for a partial application, under two minutes for full body. The routine adapts to the day. The bottle stays the same.

Trusted by skin that's tried everything.
This is the official tagline. It was chosen deliberately.
Many people who arrive at Binhi Botanicals have already cycled through products. Topical creams that thinned the skin over time. Imported botanicals that worked briefly. K-beauty steps that didn't address body skin. Pharmacy options that came with side effects. Local brands that felt amateur in packaging or formulation.
The tagline doesn't promise anything Ginhawa Oil hasn't earned. It acknowledges what the customer has been through.
Trust is built in the formulation. It's reflected in the line on the label.

What does Ginhawa Oil leave on skin?
A faint softness. A trace of warmth from the turmeric undertone. No tackiness, no residue lift on clothing, no oil-stained pillowcase the next morning.
The absence is the point. A well-formulated body oil should disappear into skin within minutes of application, leaving behind only the function it was designed to deliver.
If you've had body oils that stayed wet on skin for an hour, or rubbed off onto sleeves, or left visible patches, the formulation work wasn't finished.

Peppermint at 1.5%. Spearmint at 0.5%. Together, two percent of Ginhawa Oil.
That's where the cooling sensation comes from. Peppermint contains menthol, which activates a temperature-sensing receptor on skin called TRPM8. The receptor doesn't actually detect cold, it detects the chemical signal. The skin reads ""cool"" within seconds. The brain follows.
Spearmint is layered in for scent. It rounds out peppermint's edge with a sweeter, softer top note. Without it, the cooling smells almost medicinal.
Two percent. Two ingredients. The signature sensation of the bottle.

The word apothecary used to mean something specific.
A working room, usually small, where one person knew their ingredients well enough to combine them with care. The shop sold what the work produced. The work produced what the room could support.
Some of that has been lost in modern body-care. Brands now scale through manufacturing partnerships, white-label production, marketing-led product development. There's nothing inherently wrong with this. It's just a different model.
Binhi Botanicals is structured around the older model, at the scale it allows. One person. One product, considered fully. The work happens in one room in Victoria, Laguna. The output is small by industry standards.
This isn't a story about authenticity. It's about what's possible at this scale, this carefully, while still being a real business.

Virgin Coconut Oil. Fifty-five percent of Binhi Botanicals Ginhawa Oil.
This is the carrier. The base. The infrastructure that holds the Pili, the Moringa, the Akapulko, the Centella, and the rest in place. Without a good carrier, even excellent botanicals don't perform on skin.
Virgin grade matters here. It means cold-pressed from fresh coconut, not heat-extracted from dried copra. The texture is cleaner, the scent is neutral enough to let the other ingredients lead, and the skin-softening function holds steady.
The Philippines produces some of the world's best Virgin Coconut Oil. Using anything else would be strange.
