When a product has a problem, someone needs to know how to solve it and how to help the person facing it.

Our Software Support Representative (SSR) cohort has officially started! 💻 with Ravi Shankar Swami, a Senior Manager, G&A Services at Contour Software Pvt Ltd.

Students are beginning to explore the work behind software support, from troubleshooting and structured problem-solving to handling tickets and communicating with users.

Good support isn't just about finding the issue; it's about understanding it, explaining it clearly, and helping someone move forward.

A new cohort, a new set of problems to solve. Let’s get to work! 💙

What if the path you’re on isn’t the one you’re meant to follow?

Sometimes, you need to step outside what feels familiar to discover what you’re actually capable of. And sometimes, that one decision changes much more than your career.

"2019: Pre-med student. Endless biology notes. Zero excitement. I kept asking myself, “Is this really it?”

So I did something scary. I took admission at CodeGirls just to explore, and the first time my code came alive in a browser, I knew.

Today? Mornings leading my team at Devolic as a Project Manager. Afternoons coding a streaming app that runs on six platforms. Evenings building ERP and sales systems for manufacturers in Kenya and Malawi.

The biggest shift wasn't my career. It was me.
I stopped believing I had to stay on the path chosen for me.
I chose my own."
~ Rida Rajani -Lead Full Stack Developer - Project Manager, Devolic

Every developer starts with a question: “What if I could build that myself?” 💻✨

At CodeGirls, our Java course is underway, and our students are turning that curiosity into code.

Guided by Syed Sibte Haider from Contour Softwares, students are building their understanding of Java from the ground up, one concept at a time.

From Java fundamentals and object-oriented programming to Spring Boot, databases, testing, and deployment, they’re exploring how individual lines of code come together to build real applications.

Because learning to code isn’t just about knowing the language. It’s about learning to think, solve, experiment, and create.

💬 Your turn: What’s one everyday problem you wish an app could solve? Tell us in the comments. Maybe you’ll inspire someone’s next project! 👇

Your job title tells people what you do. It doesn’t tell them what it takes out of you.

For our CodeGirls Skardu students, Thriving at Work & Sustaining My Power opened up a conversation about the side of working life that often goes unspoken: burnout, workplace bias, financial uncertainty, and the pressure to keep showing up.

Led by Tooba Nisar in collaboration with Be Me.global , the workshop encouraged students to look beyond professional performance and consider the challenges women navigate as they build their careers.

Because preparing for work also means understanding the realities of working.

Thank you to Tooba Nisar and BeMe for bringing this conversation to CodeGirls Skardu.

A career doesn’t always follow the path you set out on.

Sometimes, the experience you gain in one field becomes useful in ways you never expected. Urooj Sadiq’s story reminds us that changing direction doesn’t make earlier steps any less valuable.

"In 2018, I joined CodeGirls because of a random ad. I had degrees, years of teaching experience, a family, and absolutely no idea that tech could be my path.

What started as a three-month course led to a career in development, then project management, and eventually a completely different field: import and export.

The biggest thing CodeGirls gave me wasn't just a skill. It was the confidence to try, fail, learn, and relearn.

You don't have to have your life figured out to begin. Start small, start imperfectly, and trust yourself enough to keep going.

CodeGirls was the right place to start, even if the journey took me somewhere completely different." ~Urooj Sadiq - Export Manager

What if 70% of the women you train went on to land jobs? 👀💙

In a conversation with Tehmina Tahir on Pehle Pakistan, Shamim Rajani shares how a simple belief in lifting others became something much bigger: CodeGirls.

What started in 2018 as a CSR initiative by Genetech Solutions has grown into an industry-led program where women learn from professionals, gain practical skills, and connect directly with employers.

The impact so far?
✨ 1,700 women benefited
✨ 2,000+ trainings conducted
✨ Over 70% job conversion ratio

And as AI reshapes the industry, CodeGirls is evolving too - with AI engineering courses and AI-first software development practices.

Because teaching women to code is only part of the mission. Helping them turn those skills into careers is what makes the difference.

🎙️ Watch Shamim’s conversation on Pehle Pakistan and hear how industry collaboration is helping create more pathways for women in tech.

What if your next project isn’t just another app but an AI-powered solution that actually works in the real world? 👀🤖

The AI Engineering Bootcamp at CodeGirls has officially started! 🚀

We’re moving beyond AI prompts and into building with AI, from integrating LLM APIs and creating intelligent document assistants to developing retrieval systems, automating QA, and deploying working applications.

Because the goal isn’t just to understand AI. It’s to learn how to build with it, test it, and turn ideas into real solutions.

💡 Your turn: If you could build one AI-powered tool to solve a problem in your daily life, work, or studies, what would it do?

Drop your idea in the comments. You might already be thinking like an AI engineer. 👇

Knowing your code is important. Knowing your rights at work is too.

As CodeGirls students prepare to enter professional environments, understanding workplace laws, safety, discrimination, and harassment is just as important as building technical skills. Knowing what’s acceptable, where to seek support, and how to respond to difficult situations helps them navigate the workplace with greater awareness and confidence.

Our students explored these topics in an HR Laws & Workplace Safety Workshop led by Ayesha Noor, L&D Analyst at Contour Software.

A big thank you to Ayesha for helping our students prepare not just for the work they’ll do, but for the workplaces they’ll be part of.

Because entering the workplace is one thing. Knowing how to navigate it matters, too.

It’s not just what you say. It’s how well your message gets across. 💬

Effective communication means knowing how to express your thoughts clearly, listen with intent, and adapt your message to the person in front of you.

For Phase 2 | Cohort 16, our students explored the art of effective communication with Arsalan Ajmal, learning how the right words, tone, and approach can make all the difference in professional interactions.

A big thank you to Arsalan for sharing his insights and helping our students communicate with greater clarity and confidence.

Good ideas don’t always make good businesses. Good problem-solving does. 💡

Our Entrepreneurship Workshop with Sibtain Jiwani, Founder of SmartBenefits, explored what it really takes to move from an idea to something people actually need, starting with identifying real problems, understanding customers, testing assumptions, building an MVP, and validating solutions before going all in.

A practical reminder for aspiring entrepreneurs: don’t just build what you think people want. Talk to them, test it, learn, and build from there.
