This video is straight out of my camera โ no brightness adjustments, no contrast tweaks, no filters.
The one thing that could go wrong... did. ๐
Hereโs the story of my beautiful June 2024 Nikkah bride ๐๏ธ
Mahnoor booked me for her Nikkah makeover while I was based in Islamabad. Since Iโm originally from Lahore, I occasionally travel back for studio appointments, destination brides, and family visits.
This particular trip was supposed to be simple โ just two brides. But as fate would have it, a client who had initially booked me only for henna application ended up booking me for her Baraat and Walima makeup (i was supposed to doll her up at my studio - after mahnoorโs slot was over) at the very last minute. Suddenly, my schedule was full.
Everything was running perfectly... until Mahnoorโs Nikkah day.
Her hair and makeup were complete, and I was putting the final touches on her dupatta when the studio AC suddenly stopped working.
I canโt describe the panic and guilt I felt. Every bride who trusts me with her special day means the world to me, regardless of the package she chooses. I kept apologizing, convinced I had ruined her experience.
But Mahnoor did something Iโll never forget.
Instead of being upset, she comforted me. ๐ค
I went ahead with her photoshoot, and despite the situation, she looked absolutely breathtaking. Looking back at these videos, I can even spot a little perspiration above her upper lip, and at the time I genuinely thought this would be the last time sheโd ever book me.
Thankfully, I was wrong.
Mahnoor later trusted me again for her Baraat glam, and the other brideโs sister eventually booked me for her bridal henna, Baraat, and Walima too.
Moments like these remind me how blessed I truly am. My brides are so much more than clients. Their trust, kindness, and support have carried me through this journey and helped shape the artist I am today.
To every bride who has stood by me through the highs and lows โ thank you. Your love never goes unnoticed. ๐ค

My beautiful Nikah bride, Hifza. ๐๏ธ
Working with Hifza was such a journey! Iโll admit, I was taken aback when she first arrived. Her skin had recently undergone an accidental chemical peel just 2โ3 days before her events, leaving it incredibly sensitive and compromised.
My first priority was simply soothing her skin before I even touched a brush. Despite the last-minute booking and the skin challenges, she looked absolutely radiant. While some texture and scarring remain slightly visible to keep the finish natural, she looked like the best version of herself. So proud of this transformation!
