1- اگر زندگی مشکل لگ رہی ہے تو اسے ایک ویڈیو گیم بنا لیں، اور پھر اسے بالکل ویسے ہی کھیلنا شروع کریں جیسے کوئی نیا گیم کھیلا جاتا ہے، بالکل ابتدائی سطح (Beginner Level) سے۔ گیم میں کوئی شخص پہلے ہی دن آخری مرحلہ نہیں جیتتا۔ وہ ہار کر دوبارہ کھیلتا ہے، ہر غلطی سے اگلی چال سیکھتا ہے اور ہر سطح پار کر کے اگلی سطح تک پہنچتا ہے۔ زندگی کو بھی اسی طرح سیکھتے سیکھتے کھیلیں۔ آج کی ناکامی صرف ایک "گیم اوور" ہے، اور آپ کے پاس ہمیشہ دوبارہ کھیلنے کا موقع موجود ہے۔

Thinking of applying for a PhD at the School for Policy Studies University of Bristol?
PhD application season is underway, and we're already receiving a high number of expressions of interest. If you're considering a PhD, here are a few important things to keep in mind to strengthen your application when contacting potential supervisors.
• Make your email personal. Avoid sending generic emails to multiple academics containing only minor changes. A strong enquiry shows that you've researched the potential supervisor's work and understand how their expertise and the department's research strengths align with your interests. It's about demonstrating a genuine fit, not simply finding someone willing to supervise you.
• Always include your CV and a research proposal. We need to understand your academic background, relevant experience and what you want to investigate. These documents are essential to the initial assessment. Potential supervisors will be happy to discuss and refine your ideas, but they need something concrete to work with first!
• Your research proposal doesn't need to be perfect, but it does need substance. It should be developed enough for us to assess the project's relevance, originality and feasibility. Use it to demonstrate that you've engaged critically with the literature, identified meaningful research questions and considered appropriate methods. Your ideas can evolve, but your initial proposal should show that you have the knowledge and skills to develop a viable research project.
• Avoid shortcuts. Your application should reflect your own thinking, knowledge and research potential. Over-reliance on Al-generated content often results in generic proposals that lack critical depth. A PhD requires independent thinking, and your application is an opportunity to demonstrate that.
